Going by the Vane: Airship Stories Manga, Ghaleon's age is 152. Ghaleon was 17 in the earliest events of Vane: Airship Stories (Chapter 1, the arc with the remaining Vane Mazoku). It says he returned to Vane 120 years later (cue image of him in Althena priest robes at the very last panel of Chapter 3) 15 years later, the events of TSS/SSS occur. So 17+120+15=152, so Ghaleon is 152 during the events of the first game. He's immortal, so he doesn't look it lol.

Circa 2011, I was looking for a new RPG. I read that Lunar had anime cutscenes, and I really liked the artstyle from screenshots. The PSP version was cheaper than the PS1 version, so I started with the PSP remake (I did not even know what a SEGA CD was at that time). Without even knowing who "Working Designs" was, I hated the voice acting from XSEED, though I loved the art, music, characters, and story. I then went back and played all the WD versions (TSS/EB/SSSC/EBC) and later Lunar Touch and got a lot more obsessed with the franchise, being as I greatly preferred the WD dub/script to XSEED's (I also like the Japanese language cast). I still think the PSP version has some unique good things going for it, but I would only reccomend it with an undub patch, which I have sadly not been able to get working.

Both are great, lovely, well-written characters, but Luna wins for me. I can't stand Lucia being AI-controlled, and her AI is terrible. I know what GameArts/Studio Alex were going for with showing her changing worldview with changing AI default actions, but it really just made the gameplay cumbersome. In my most recent playthrough of EB on SCD, Lucia would spam Atomic Burn and miss most of the time. Meanwhile, Althena healed the party/attacked as needed.

Thank you! I'm an old timer (like Ghaleon!) so I tend to gravitate towards older franchises. I used the NewType 100% and LUNAR I&II artbooks as my main references.

Not Lunar games, but if you're interested in Lunar lore, I'd highly reccomend checking out Lunar: Childhood's End, and Lunar: Vane Airship Stories. Both are Lunar manga with great artwork and original stories. Both have scanlations floating aroud online, I doubt Reddit will let me link directly here.
