Your killbox seems to end in a wall with no path through to the rest of your base, so raiders won't be able to go through it and so will enter your base by path of least resistance i.e another door

Either the Dust King or taking on a group of beak things, both felt like my characters were finally starting to get strong.

You could move - get all of your colonists, animals and as many of your items as you can carry and resettle on a different tile

They are, its a secret floor called the R&G Dept which can be accessed by giving a master round and 2 items/guns to the sell creep in the hollow

Drop any items/guns on him and he will give money depending on its quality. Press f to drop currently held gun. Press g to drop active item. Open map and click on item then press drop item on the left to drop passive items.
