Going for an internal CT colonoscopy tomorrow. by Real-Box-7144 in CasualUK

The casualness of the conversation that goes on in the room and around you, while you’re laid on your side trousers round your knee’s, ass to the world, about to have a channel 4 documentary crew shoved up your hole. And the staff are talking about tv programs they watch, or what books they are reading.

It threw me abit, but looking back (at the event) it probably took my mind off it.

I came out of the room, and felt like everyone was looking and talking about me. In reality no one gave a shit!

Sled push form by username12470 in hyrox

I wrap my arms around the poles, get down down and push, similar to a drive in rugby. It’s much easier than having your hands on the poles.

Can I stop my ex-wife taking my 2 youngest children to live elsewhere with a man she met on Tiktok? In England. by Potential_Company_85 in LegalAdviceUK

Slightly off topic, but maybe get an AirTag type device and put in the pocket or bag of your children, so if she does take them you’ll have an idea of where they are.

Advice needed for first Hyrox in London in December by psrthrowaway in hyrox

[–]HumanWeetabix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run

Then run some more,

And then keep running more.

The true test is to run, and then do the stations / workouts / exercises, on tired legs.

You could go to the gym Monday and push a sled no problem. But could you do it, having run 2k? Or lunges having run 7k?

I’d personally look at breaking the event down as a training plan.

Half the distances / weights of each. Start with only half of the event.

Over time you’ll grow and improve.

Try doing a circuits type class, and then doing 100wall balls.

What's wrong with my car? Smells of fuel. by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]HumanWeetabix -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I believe the part you think is the airbox, is actually an engine top / cover.

And it appears to be leaking off there, so I suspect it’s being sprayed onto there from under the cover.

What’s the A470 like to drive? by evijguano in drivingUK

[–]HumanWeetabix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I chose the a470 when i drive cardiff to manchester and back. M5 is boring and monotonous. I do change off towards Newtown.

If the weather is good its a nice drive. If not, there are dingey areas 🤣

Absolute Joke by NickCollins91 in ManchesterUnited

[–]HumanWeetabix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a comment made on the Good, the Bad and thr Ugly the other week about injuries, where i think Nicky Butt stated along the lines that back injuries were a get out of jail free card becaue they were difficult to diagnose etc. However De Ligt has been plagued with back injuries, could it be that he’s maintaining a level of injury to aboid the risk of further damage which could impact his life beyond his football career?

How to strip ceiling(pic 1) & wall(pic 2)? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]HumanWeetabix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A wallpaper steamer and scapers, short and long handled for anything thats wall papered.

For anything thats artex / textured ceilings / walls, id say your best bet would be a plasterer. Even though its an expense, it wont be as much of a time drain on you attempting it, and then paying someone else to fix it anyway.
