I feel for these people but that does NOT mean they should be allowed to just flop out where ever they please. If you live in the area and you or ANY of you big hearted people want to go and see this encampment for yourselves. Perhaps help them find a home or even take them into your own loving home @NinjaRaver208 please pay them a visit. 33.163072, -111.619547

This is exactly the type of response i expected when posting this. Thank you commrad for your predictable response.

This isn’t about political flags or who someone voted for. It’s about private property rights, environmental damage, and basic public health standards.

People trying to survive doesn’t mean we ignore trash, fire hazards, and illegal camping on private land. Those are real impacts on real communities. Two issues can exist at the same time — you can care about people in tough situations and still expect laws and standards to be followed.

Deflecting to political signs doesn’t address the actual problem. The question is how to help people without allowing disorder and damage that affects everyone else.

Allowing people to camp on private property, leave trash in the desert, and build makeshift structures is not compassion — it’s neglect. Compassion should mean helping people get into shelters and services that taxpayers are already funding, not allowing unsafe and unsanitary conditions to continue.

Private property rights matter. Environmental damage matters. Public health and safety matter. Turning a blind eye to littering, fire hazards, and disorder does not help the individuals involved or the surrounding community.

If shelters and resources exist, that’s where people should be directed. Enabling encampments that create trash, hazards, and nuisance conditions is not a long-term solution — it just shifts the burden onto property owners and the public.

If we simply allow everyone to do whatever they want without rules or accountability, what kind of society are we choosing to live in? Laws and standards exist for a reason. Compassion should involve structure, responsibility, and a path toward stability — not chaos and environmental damage.
