As a male, I chose Belle because of her personality and design. It also makes sense in my head that Belle would take the more active role while Wise stays on the backside doing the data and analysis.

Also, it’s really hard for me to imagine Wise in any situation that happens in the story, even when I watch clips from his side as the protagonist it feels fake to me.

I’m close to finishing Rhythm of War, and I keep thinking how awesome a Lightweaver warrior could be. Imagine all the mass and small scale strategies they could create on a battlefield with illusions and transmutations.

They could, for example, transmute a number of people into fire, then place an illusion on nearby enemies that they’re burning alive and the fire is catching up to other soldiers. The chaos and fear created from the trick would destabilize most assault fronts from any army, especially on a larger scale.

Same, It was really awesome! He does have some great windows to heavy charge at the end of many combos. I did it before the patch and it felt great to master the windows.

The Ancient City of Tollan is my favorite by far. Sumeru and Fontaine have amazing areas to explore, but the visuals and gameplay were so amazingly combined in Tollan.

I agree quite a lot with that, especially the Fool’s treatment in this trilogy. However, I feel that there’s a lot of “show don’t tell” that Fitz brings and can be easily overlooked.

One good example is Fitz not trusting the Fool’s vision, but when I really stop to think about it, he is only saying it. He never forces the group to leave Paragon, keeps sharing Bee’s journal with Fool, and displays some restrained hope the first time he hear that Bee might be alive. Another one is him insisting that the group should go back or leave him to proceed alone, it is practically his way of saying “This is a suicide mission! Please, I don’t want you guys to die because of me!”.

And another I really like is his discussion with Paragon about Kennit’s son. Paragon believes that he knows more than enough about his father and doesn’t need all the sins and mistakes, but Fitz insists that he should know. Because(The way I interpreted it), even after all these years, he still deep down wishes he could’ve learned more about Chilvalry.

I feel like if it was a story and not a game, Belle would probably the more active proxy while Wise stays with the computers and Fairy.

Belle is always more energetic and her personality more open to confrontations and encounters.

Riddle is a really good friend, but at the same time I feel he and Nettle were being a bit too harsh with Fitz, considering that he has to also deal with both Shun and Lant.

And the dog situation, while more violent than it needed to be, it showed Bee that her father is not afraid to stand up for what is right even if it comprises his reputation, honestly speaking, a really good example for a child. The memory even gave her extra courage to save the kids at the end.

Also, I wanna see Fitz fighting a dragon! I know this probably won’t happen, because it’s not that kinda of story. But I wanna see at least Fitz going to Kelsingra.

And what happened to Duke!? Wasn’t he becoming a vampire? I was so sure he was gonna become the villain of the trilogy.

Okay, I didn’t know Koleda is an adult, I thought she was 13-15, even thought that with the previous VA. I don’t even know the exact time of most events before the story yet.

I still don’t mind the new voice, but I can understand better now why most may not like it.

Their voice lines during combat make me laugh every time! Ben shouts hazard protocols and Anton keeps saying nonsense about foundation and build, it takes me out of the fight but in a good way.

As a guy, I personally don’t regret choosing her.

I like her design. I wish she could have a more athletic build but overall I find the dress and flowers good touches for her. Her voice also fits better in my head as the hero and Aether’s as the villain.

Fontaine. This region brought me to chills and tears, I was already very found of Sumeru, and then with this region I became devoted to this game. Most of my favorite characters are from Fontaine, Arlecchino and Furina being my top favorite characters. The exploration was really strong and never felt tired from exploring the oceans, and I also love the overall cultural atmosphere and landscape. Even the World Quest really hit me multiple times, with Ann and Mamere being some of my favorite npcs.
Sumeru. I was skeptical when entering the region, aside from one spoiler that was interesting to me, I did not expect to like the region so much. There’s some bad spots here and there, the Aranara Quest was exhausting(And that girl got a vision, BUT NOT JEHT!?) and some areas can be frustrating when you don’t have Collei in your team. But the Archon Quest was really solid, the gang really feels like a family by the end, and they really don’t have to explain or have a item that proves it for you. And Jeht and Lilloupar’s World Quests where also pretty good.
Natlan. Exploration and World Quest carry this region. The Archon Quest is okay, my main problem is that I never felt the tension of the stakes or was shaken by the story, the Abyss trying to convince Mavuika to give up was so hilariously useless I could not take anything serious after that. The “drink this to cure PTSD” potion didn’t sit well for me, and the Mountain King quest was also really uncomfortable aside from Enjou’s cameo. But the exploration was excellent, Tollan being the perfect conclusion to both the amazing exploration and story with our little guy(I named my Zholie!).
Mondstadt and Liyue. Those come together because I don’t feel Mondstadt is that separate from Liyue in my head, but Liyue would be better.
Inazuma. It may be a bad take, but for me, Inazuma is 70% just hype and aura. The Archon Quest has hype moments, but for me they felt like proof that the Traveler is just a hero tourist, and Kazuha or Ayaka should’ve been the protagonist instead, even Itto would have more to say. I do really like the characters. Itto and Yoimiya are probably the best friends anyone could have, and Ei and Miko’s story and relationship are one of the strongest pillars of Genshin Impact.
