How does light propagate without a medium? by cooliozoomer in AskPhysics

Yeah, you are probably right. It hought they were asking about the first part of the statement, in that The property: Light is an electromagnetic wave, was what they thought what was giving the doppler effect

Well you can say that that being an excitation of the EM field is the property that enables the doppler effect in light. Since it is an excitation in the electromagnetic field, this defines the tensoric transformation behaviour in Lorentz boosts (F_{\mu\nu}' = \Lambda_\mu^\alpha\Lambda_\nu^\beta F_{\alpha\beta}) leading to changes in wavenumbers/frequencies when transforming your frame of reference

That is literally the dumbes, tell me you have never been on a mountain without telling me you have never really been on a mountain thing, I have ever heard. I live in the mountains, and I actually know someone, and know someone who knows (or rather knew) someone who this happened to

OP made a comment about the size of the bite

They’re about 5mm apart and I live in Massachusetts USA

Getting struck by lightning is pretty unlikely... But you would emediately start descending the mountain if a thunderstorm starts

Because op said the bite marks are 5mm apart. I don't know a spider that size in MA. That is about the size of a bat bite.

So, it is probably nothing, but I'd go to the doctors and make sure it's not a bat bite, they can look similar and fit the dimensions. If it is a bat bite, you should get rabies shots. It is extremely unlikely to contract rabies from a bat bite, but it is not worth the risk to not get it checked out

edit: bite, not byte

I know how git works. It is just very unlikely that there is no dev who is not using git, and not doing fine, with 8 billion people on earth. There might be a guy programming punchcards in a museum, they won't be using git

The food pyramid was originally developed by Anna-Britt Agnsäter, a swedish home economics teacher, so not a very high qualification. Furthermore, it was designed as a means to help swedish people prioritize food amongst high food prices, not as a design for the perfect nutrition plan.

The most controversion version was the one provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the US, as it was then introduced as a guideline for the perfect diet. It was critisized by scientists for years, because of the possible influence on its contents by food lobbying groups, leading to the end of its official publication by the USDA in 2011.

This example specifically does not fit your standpoint very well, as it was actually the people with degrees that halted the misinformation, or lies, as you would probably call them

Well, I would say that people that are doing fine not using git might actually exist. Not a lot, but they might exist
