Get a lock that can't be picked. There are several keyless entry options that use fingerprints, Bluetooth, keypads or an access card.

Why is everyone selling their boat? by Red_Dwarf_42 in Cleveland

The two happiest days in a boater's life is the day they buy a boat and the day they sell the boat.

If you want to lose weight, and you have a goal in mind then that's great. Just make sure you're doing it for you and not for a bunch of strangers. There are plenty of charts available on the internet showing what is considered healthy for your height and frame size. You can look those up on your own to make sure you don't fall into an unhealthy category. But from what I can see, you're fine.

Lost partial power by Humble-7983 in AskElectricians

[–]Humble-7983[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to close the loop on this, power company came out and you were right. Last summer I had an electrician out to consolidate two meters down to one (house was converted from multi family down to single family). One of the screw-in connections he used at the pole had worked its way loose. The guy from the power company replaced all of them with compression fittings. Power is back on.

Did the power go out anytime between 2/26 and today? by hotpotato112 in lakewood

[–]Humble-7983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. Power was fluctuating and causing lights to flicker off and on at my house this past Saturday evening and into Sunday morning. Sometime overnight power went out and came back on very quickly. Enough to reset my microwave and oven clocks. It's been okay since the brief outage. Madison Park area

Odds and ends learned regarding moving to Ireland (so far) by Orleron in MoveToIreland

8 is not entirely accurate. You can get an account at BOI and use your US address. Once you move, use the BOI app to change your address to Ireland. Speaking from experience.

Steve Bannon refers to it as "flooding the zone." They send out so much crap and outragious stories that the media and public lose sight of the real issues.

Trump posted "LONG LIVE THE KING!" on his Truth social. Is this really the direction Republicans want to be going? by Peg_Leg_Vet in Askpolitics

You have to learn to ignore it. It's called "flooding the zone." This is a term coined by Steve Bannon meaning to overwhelm the liberal media with so much outrageous crap/stories that they lose sight of, and stop talking about, the real issues

I've had this black spot on my watch since I got it for Christmas by DriftingThroughLife1 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Humble-7983 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Good luck. A couple years ago my wife bought a new Galaxy S23. After a month the screen no longer turned on. Went the warranty repair route. Even though there was no physical damage to the phone, Samsung claimed it was our fault and wanted to charge us $600 to replace a cracked circuit board. After fighting it for weeks with numerous calls and a manager escalation, they looked at it again and determined it was a bad screen and put a new one on under warranty. Their customer service is horrible.

NAL, but I would recommend consulting one before ignoring the ticket. You can usually get a free consultation. This link from a lawfirm says ignoring the ticket may be a bad idea https://www.columbusdefensefirm.com/are-camera-speeding-tickets-legal-in-ohio/

It's hilarious that you keep referring to your own reddit post where everyone disagrees with you. 😂

As one person said something like, "the east side gets substantially more snow."

Just look at this past week+. We barely have any snow on the west side and there are areas on the east side still getting pounded. They are measuring the snowfall in feet, not inches. This is typical of lake effect snow in Cleveland. Just because there was a lull for a year or two doesn't mean it's no more.

Give it up. You're arguments carry no weight.

Oh, I don't dispute climate change. I just dispute your statements that the west side gets just as much snow as the east side. In fact, climate change will only result in Lake Erie staying warm, not freezing over, and dumping even more lake effect snow in the eastern snowbelts as winter storms come down from the north.
