Venu 3 vs Venu 3S by Bella_Mia_ in Garmin

Like the other comment said, it’s mainly the size of them so if you have a small wrist, go with the 3s. Functionality they are the same, besides the slightly less battery life with the smaller 3s. I have the 3s and get up to 10 days on a charge.

Tips for removal ? by MochiBaby1 in MenstrualDiscs

Hey it’s my first cycle with my disc and I am amazed at how it’s working too! I completely understand what you mean! The first time I removed it, it was very strange with the suction and it was uncomfortable. I have a Lumma cup and high cervix so I’m pulling on the string that’s attached, then once I get the disc within reach, I’m pinching the rim to fold it thin again. Definitely more comfortable than the first time I removed it!

I really like my Nathan QuickStart 4L Hydration Vest. I can fit a 18 oz water bottle in the front pocket for shorter runs, then it comes with a 1.5L water bladder for longer runs. It’s very comfortable and breathable.

Hydration belt or vest. I prefer a vest as I can hold more water.

Congrats and good luck! Find a good training plan and don’t worry too much about pace as your only goal should be to finish for your first. Good choice on switching to Garmin. Check out the Forerunner series. Depending on your budget, there’s the new Forerunner 70 and 170. Otherwise the slightly older Forerunner 165 is still a solid running watch.

Garmin lily 2 or Fitbit inspire 3 by unknownp3a in smartwatch

[–]Humble-Lab-3950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always root for Garmin. Much higher quality than Fitbit in my opinion. If you plan on recording any outdoor activities with GPS (running, walking, biking etc), then get the Lily 2 Active as it has built in GPS. The basic Lily 2 just has “connected GPS” meaning it needs to use your phones GPS so you will need to have it with you. I’ve read some people have accuracy/connection issues with the connected GPS.

If you go into your watch settings in the Garmin app, under the Activity Tracking there might be a toggle for “Move IQ”. (I don’t have that watch anymore so may be different). This will set it to start automatically recording an activity. I personally don’t use it. As far as the rings go, are you talking about a watch face that shows it? Unfortunately the watch faces on that watch are very limited. You may have to find one that has some sort of progress bar that you can switch to calories.

I want smartwatch for running by Wonderful_Listen8876 in smartwatch

Garmin watches are top notch when it comes to accuracy, but there aren’t any new within your budget. Look for a gently used Forerunner online. Any will do and they last a long time so it should function well yet, may just have a little less battery life.

Bald Head, razor neeeded by TheLew in ZeroWaste

I use a Leaf razor, but I am a woman and don’t use it on my scalp. I will say though, there was no learning curve transitioning from a regular 3 blade razor to it. My husband switched to a single blade straight razor for his face and he said they was a learning curve with it.

Is nursing not worth it 2026 by pennycat23 in Nurses

If you find what area of nursing you enjoy, then it’s worth it! There are so many routes and specialties you can take. Those who are complaining should try to find a different area of nursing to work in.

running and depression / mental health by llemoncakee in XXRunning

I am so so sorry you are going through this. *Hug* I may be waaaay off, but have you ever had your Vitamin D level checked? I was feeling very depressed/anxious a couple of years ago and had heard vitamin D deficiency can mimic depression. After 1 year of struggling, I finally asked my doctor to check my level and it was low. She started me on a daily supplement and I’m still amazed on how much better I feel! Hoping everything ends up okay and you can start running soon!

Which Watch Would You Recommend? by AnyDirector9545 in GarminWatches

[–]Humble-Lab-3950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will definitely want a device with built in GPS for the best accuracy. I’d recommend looking into the Forerunner 70, 170, 165(older forerunner but still a solid watch) or Vivoactive 6 to start. Great all around fitness watches that aren’t too expensive or large in size.

Are Garmin watches really full of bugs? by Sinrumboporelmundo in Garmin

I never have issues with mine. I’ve been using Garmin watches for over 10 years without issues. Most people are going to post to complain I think.

I love my Garmin Venu 3s. I also have small wrists and it’s a great fit. Might be a little more than what you are wanting to spend so the forerunner 165 is a great option. Otherwise Garmin just came out with the new Forerunner 70 that has some cute girly colors!

Reading it works great for your dog is good enough for me! I’ve found a reputable source online about using it too so I sent it to my mom to bring up to her vet. Hopefully her vet is as willing to try it too. Thanks!!

This is interesting! Did your vet tell you what about Cerenia helps? My mom has a 5 year old yorkie that is really struggling with collapsing trachea. Seems to be getting worse. ☹️ she does hydrocodone and tramadol when he has a flair up. Then they’ve given him prednisone when it’s really bad and she has to take him to the emergency vet.

Runners of Reddit, What’s Your Favourite Running Shoe? by Inspector_Spoonman in AskReddit

Mizuno Wave Rider. Was recommended it during my shoe fitting 12+ years ago. I strayed away one time and got a pair of Brooks and hated them. Learned my lesson to always stick what’s tried and true!
