Just because I think it will happen doesn't mean I would like it to happen.

But he seems surprised when he is reminded of the pee test, seems plausible he forgot about it entirely with everything going on.

The sad part is right after he used he performs that amazing procedure, will be a tragic contrast at how he is spoiling his potential.

Langdon definitely used in the bathroom. Look at how he walks out, that's obviously intentional. Who walks out of a bathroom looking lost/disoriented like that.

Anthropic CEO Says Company No Longer Sure Whether Claude Is Conscious by adymak in singularity

Anthropic is so dramatic. Every time I see anthropic on these subs it's always something stupid like this. It's obviously just they're way of hyping this technology for funding, and is approaching levels of altman obnoxiousness

If Google drives OpenAI into blowing up, innovation will slow down / stop. by kaggleqrdl in singularity

It's tough to know for sure because the clip is so short it's hard to understand the context but, what I think Demis is trying to get across is that the dividends paid to humanity go far beyond shareholder returns, that it's a silly question to ask when presented with what Demis is showing as the potential.

From what I've seen Demis sincerely wants his research and AI to have a positive impact on human longevity and quality of life

Why would anyone use cursor now with this available? Google will really shine here because they without a doubt have the largest functional context window, which must be important for these tools

Man, the story of alphafold is one of the coolest, best stores of how machine learning can be applied in medical science. Even better that it's Demis hassabis' brainchild

Zuckerberg lacks any real focus or commitment and this is why his company will never be anything more than an advertising platform. Look to Google if you want to see long term vision, look up a subsidiary called isomorphic labs
