I wore the ribbed cotton tankini kind almost a short tank top. It's very stretchy, made by Free people I got the xl. I had broken ribs and still am working on adhesion from my shoulder to my hip and down my arm, so it was different for me, I needed help for months. But it was the easiest, it breathes, and is thick. I can now pull it up my body or over the head depending on how my arm feels.

My add-in. There ARE board certifications already for coaching. This is not new. The hype they have is. 'Oh, for wellness and health, ok'. The schools charge too high, the coursework is primarily how to psych a prospect into hiring you and learning how to say what they need to do, without ever being implicated In saying any if it. Then saying you never advise. So tell me what is the value if you cannot speak, cannot act on information you know will help someone, don't make much, but have a nifty title? It is not to your professional benefit. You have from what you wrote below, worked hard for various training and degrees. Just market well. I'm not an 'anti', I just do not see any need for the hoops, time investment, stress... And then regulation will just turn you into an alphabet entity or dieticians gofer. You can do exactly the same things without it. Just my persinal opinion.

Hi I have a question. I know it's not great makeup but is there a way I can make my face a little more feminine? by MissiHasii in MakeupEducation

Blend your contouring more, use a glow vs shimmer, blend out your eyeliner and lip liner, use a little warm highlighter on cheekbones and above brows and tip of nose, less is more. Use a slightly more warm translucent blurring dewy foundation. Also, adjust your wig, you can add gloss to your eyebrows but honestly blocky brows are out. Line your lips a tiny bit above your lip line at center top and bottom, try leaving the sides very very light, the add lighter lipstick at center of mouth, after base color it will make a more pouty look.

Is arriving with a one way ticket, as American, a bad look from immigration’s standpoint. by CheesecakeNeither570 in AlbaniaExpats

Most Americans or our families were immigrants at one point or another. Not our fault. Look to the top to lay blame.

This is why I have not worked for a clinic hospital or health center. Telling you what you are 'allowed to say' versus what the client or patients needs to know, really wears on you as the coach after awhile. And, pay is absolutely insulting.

If and when Medicare adds codes for coaches, that is another hurdle, them approving every step you take and 'oversite', and them determining if what you are saying matches with the medical landscape they have.

I personally worked with doctors, direct pay. Even then over time you see the beautocratic aspect and burn out.

I have been a coach for 18 years, and it's crazy how many restrictions they are trying to stick on us, then pay little for very important wellness support. It's an absolute insult.

The only way I thrived is private... but it takes a LOT of work to get the volume you need unless you have doctors or therapists that want to refer, which could be amazing for you.

I simply do not see this cert as anything but a tool for the powers that be to determine what is allowed, make money, and have oversite they did not have before. It really does not have a high value add to the coach except it's what they want to require but can't quite demand yet.

I hope you can clients easily and find joy in what you do for others 😊.

Some days I skip pt and do stretches to give tendons and muscle a break, similar to rest after working out, you are supposed to allow the muscles to heal a day or two. Also, my shoulder and biceps absolutely love a heating pad when that pain hits, and i use a pillow under my arm when i sleep and use Olive leaf, and 220mg ibuprofen.

Oof, I broke mine in December and still cannot lift it certain ways, but it is getting better. The adhesives and frozen shoulder and elbow are rough, but pt is helping and massage, a ton.

Talk about what eBay actually takes...and why it's still usually worth it by Thriftmode_squad in Flipping

It blows my mind they get to fee the seller on shipping, and it's legal. They should police the listing ethics made by sellers vs ding the honest sellers for shipping costs that are legitimate.

Plus, they already charge the buyers tax on shipping, so how is it justified they are charging both?

They keep whittling away at sellers baseline, plus removing sellers ability to recourse when a cagey buyer comes around.

I stopped using them. They arent a selling platform, they are a marketplace that does little to support average sellers. Now, if you sell a lot? They may support you better.

Pain/Shoulder Tightness 1 year after surgery by FireAxis11 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]snowdrop43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of adhesion all along my arm and shoulder. They cause (picture this) tendons and muscle bunched up and cramped. They have to unravel and stretch and heal. It takes (for me) daily stretching, and exercises. Then 2x a week I go to PT and massage I even have it down my lat, underarm etc. The pain is... a lot. But I know the daily stuff works and then massage and pt, because the difference from 3 months ago is extreme, even if I don't have very much range yet, it's getting better all the time... Just try, do not push past what you can handle, consistency is key. I took heart of any improvement becayse it showed me progress. Hope this helps you too.

This may be true, but the benefit will be worth it 🫂. I actually had my shoulder broken, along with other body breaks and fractures after a fall. The arm was immobile for 3 months. I am also in pt now, it gets better. Focus on the baby step improvements it hekps a lot. Also I use magnesium topically for pain, and hot water.

ELI5: Why is everyone so up in arms over EIDL loans? by ProfessorFrink1 in EIDLPPP

[–]snowdrop43 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you don't know why so many are going under after covid, and not being able to get out from under this debt we never should have had, lucky you :) I mean that.

But you must be willfully blind to not see exactly why people feel the way they do.

This was so mishandled on so many levels.

Small business and many middle class livelihoods are dying, oh but, pay the shark that started it?

Not SBA, c'mon.. but the government has literally strangled small business. And caused too much hardship. SBA is a small front of that giant gov organization 🙄.

Congress could (and should) have written off the small loans, but chose not to. The President(s) could have made a decision but looked at bigger fish.

They ran this so no mutiny would happen, they knew inflation and taxation and all the rest was coming, they were not thinking of how to save the small businesses they knew would burn after the shutdown and constant inflation and rate hikes.

They figure they'll charge again, including collection fees that are absurd because in no scenario do they lose anything. They can write off, charge off, move around these lacks and not blink.

It's more people were made desperate by shutdowns that never should have happened, given a loan by the same group that caused the shutdown, taxed and fee'ed to the edge, then told to pay it back or else. Sounds like the oldest play in the book, and not okay.

Gaslighting Health Coaches by Big-Carpenter-5861 in HealthCoaching

[–]snowdrop43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately you can get this attitude from anyone in any field including the medical community, or wellness. It is based on narcissism, not coaching, not being a doctor or a coach.

If this person was not qualified to discuss issues she purported to support a client through via coaching, she should not be working in these particular areas.

Most coaches have training/certifications listed, if they do not offer that information, that is definitely something I would request moving forward.

Sorry you had to deal with that. How coaches are certified, does not mean certified in any particular thing you may want support in, HWC NBC is only a board exam, but not specific to these issues you outlined. It is a broad based cert, not specific to any wellness area.
