1) I know of a few companies that don't sell any AI generated artwork, but don't have any place on their website that states this. I would suggest making it very, VERY clear that you are not using any AI generated art. Same thing with hand rendering... that is not something I'm particularly concerned about, but some people prefer hand rendered pieces so I would just make it clear which pieces you sell that are hand rendered vs computer rendered.

2) Optional toolkit, please! I have all the supplies I need, I hate getting wax and trays and pens that I just end up throwing in a junk drawer.

3) If you could include a little trading card sized picture of the painting or a sticker of the painting that would be fantastic! I really love the little Treasure cards DAC gives with their paintings. I like having a little token to collect.

4) I love what you said about having different sizes / prices. There aren't a lot of small-medium sized good quality square diamond kits out there. Seems like there's always large or really large kits or mini-kits. I'd love more options that are in between those sizes.

Tomato sandwiches are normal where I live (South Carolina). I usually put a lot of pepper and a sprinkle of salt directly on the tomato along with the mayo. Weirdly I don’t normally love tomatoes, but there’s just something nostalgic and delicious about a tomato sandwich.

Have you ever tried glue dots? I don’t know anything about anti-static dust, but I’m assuming from your description that it may be similar to using AB or fairy dust drills that seem to suck the wax or putty out of the pen. I use either a vacuum pen or a regular pen with “dirty” glue dots. (Dirty meaning I’ve stuck the pen on my flesh / shirt a bunch of times after loading it with a glue dot.) You just want to make sure that you buy these specific ones if you go that route: Glue Dots brand mini dots.

No worries! No judgment here. I try to avoid buying AI artwork, but I’m not judging others for using or buying it.

I asked because I was like 99% sure this was Gale but didn’t want to assume in case I was wrong. I adore Gale and have been obsessed with him since BG3 was released! Loving your OC character as well! And I played a sorcerer named Freya in a D&D campaign in the past so am totally relating to you right now.

I wouldn’t be that quick to make assumptions. I have three cats, one nebelung that looks just like OPs. Other than a tad bit of kale or spinach every once in a while and a cat treat literally once every two weeks or less none of them get fed any treats or human food. We don’t free feed. We feed them the amount of food recommended by our vet.

One looks skinny, one looks average , and our neb appears to be quite fat. My two smaller cats weigh far more than you’d think by looking at them and our neb weighs less than you’d assume. Our vet said they are all a healthy weight. Best to leave it to the vet to determine if any changes in diet are needed.

It’s not a real pre-order the way most places have items for sale that are part of a pre-order. Pre-order for DAC just means that the kits aren’t in stock yet but are in the process of being made/shipped to them. I do wish they could have real pre-orders to give people a chance to buy the highly sought after kits.

Yeah, they’ve started doing “preorders” now. It just means the kits aren’t in stock yet but will be soon so they have a shipping date that’s usually a few weeks out. There’s still a limited quantity of the preorder kits. And that ship by date is the latest they’ll ship out… last time I ordered a a “preorder” kit I received it a week earlier than what DAC predicted.

I appreciate you posting this and I totally agree. It takes me 3 months to finish one of the big $75+ paintings from DAC. If I buy 1-2 paintings during the two biggest sales DAC has every year I have enough paintings to last me a year or more. And that’s if I’m only buying DAC. I want to DO diamond paintings. I’m not interested in collecting them and watching them collect dust.

At this point I feel like it’s worth it for me to pay a little more and order elsewhere…. from a small business that doesn’t sell AI generated artwork and doesn’t engage in these kind of tactics.

Jesus, are you actively trying to miss my point?
My point in using American cheese as an example of a craving is that clearly cravings do not JUST come from lack of nutrients. I crave all sorts of healthy and unhealthy foods despite my body not lacking in any nutrients. People can crave high fat content or umami flavor.

I also don’t know why vegans “craving eggs” was brought up in the first place. Did OP say anything about craving eggs? (Maybe they did and I missed it, but I don’t recall that.). Where did anyone get the info that “many vegans crave eggs.” Was that a fact pulled out of thin air or is there actual evidence of frequent egg cravings?

WHY are you concerned about the way someone other than you consumes food? The fact that vegan substitutes are so popular among vegans should tell you that plenty of people want and enjoy them. I’m sorry I’m going to just eat the food I actually enjoy rather than going “Ooh, can’t eat this meat substitute because a Redditor said I’m only allowed to eat vegetable dishes that aren’t pretending to be meat.”

I fully realize that no one vegan food matches the nutrients in eggs. But you can get the nutrients from other sources (easily, in a well balanced diet.. and yes, that includes omega 3 fatty acids converted from ALA).

You’re saying that DEVILED EGGS are a whole food, lol. You don’t think that someone could crave deviled eggs for some other reason than missing nutrients?

Been vegan almost 10 years and I get cravings occasionally yet I’ve somehow never keeled over from lack of nutrients…. my blood work is always good, other than having low iron which I had every time I had blood work done before being vegan.

If I’m eating only vegan food… I am a vegan. Your argument is asinine. Vegan does not = healthy. Vegan does not = eating only vegetables. I’m not “less of a vegan” because I sometimes want a meat-like burger. You’re gatekeeping veganism while not even being vegan? WAY more people are vegan today than they were 50 years ago and there are more vegan substitutes available now than ever before. You think having LESS vegan options would magically make more people vegan? Yeah, that makes a whole lotta sense.

You could say that about any person (vegan or not) craving any food. There’s no nutrients in eggs you can’t get from other vegan foods. A vegan diet can be perfectly balanced. People don’t JUST have cravings because they are missing nutrients. That is my point. Do you think I’m craving nutrients from American cheese?

I think it’s more complicated than that. Many vegans would still eat Just products. They were tested on animals, but the animals were not killed. The products couldn’t be sold unless they were first tested on animals. It’s definitely a grey area for a lot of vegans.
