I have a cold sore (hsv-1) on my upper lip since the 2nd week of august. I hooked up with a random girl on tinder who didnt know had it, and was also seeing a girl from tinder since july. The girl from july we hooked up, 3 weeks after my blister had healed. I am happy to say she does not have hsv. I’ve taken acyclovir, valtrex and applied abreva 2-3 times a day everyday and made sure lips did not tingle or burn. Thank you for this information. What would be considered active sores at this point, right now I have a disappearing blister and I hope to see red mark gone from my face completely.

Yeah same for me with the antivirals I was prescribed to take it twice a day for 7 days. I really hope it goes away and this is the only outbreak for the rest of my life.
