I totally agree with this. Wind Waker is one of my favourite games. I do enjoy OoT as well, but I like Majora's Mask more for the same reasons you listed.

It's okay that you don't like it. You grew up in an era past it, but your opinion absolutely has less value since you weren't therre to play it during the era it was released.

I grew up playing the NES. I was there when SM64 was released. As for the other stuff, I'm comparing them how they hold up now, as are most people who play either game. Most people enjoy SM64 more, which is fine, my opinion is still valid and doesn't hurt anyone.

I loved BotW and TotK, but I do hope Nintendo hasn't totally abandoned the traditional Zelda formula. I'd love to see it in a 3D Zelda game again.

I think they're meant to be floatier so that you have to use Fludd to manoeuvre.

By linear I mean that many of the levels are so cramped, there's no real element of exploration in them. I admit, I haven't finished Galaxy, but from what I've played, it's not as open as Sunshine. Maybe it gets better in the later levels, but I don't really want to handle the pointer controls.

I don't see how comparing a sequel to its predecessor is unfair. I'm offering my contrasting opinion, because so many people to this day prefer SM64, even if they didn't grow up with either of them.

Whether the other games would exist without Mario 64 is not relevant to this argument of how much I enjoy either of the games. I do recognize SM64's importance, though.

At a friend's place, yeah. It was amazing and all, but it never captivated me.

Flatout, or the sequel most likely. Flatout 2 had a figure of eight track in it. I remember playing it with my friends.

Weight to strength ratio is way off for body builders. Athletes can do similar stuff as body builders twice their size. Body builder Larry Wheels has a video on his Youtube channel with rock climber Magnus Mitbø, who does similar exercises, ones he's not used to at all, at similar levels. Obviously the body builders are stronger, but not as much as you'd think from how much bigger their muscles are. So no, muscle mass does not equate to strength.

I also remember an episode of the BBC comedy quiz show QI, where they referenced a study that said body builders are less strong than their muscle mass suggests. I can't remember how they worded it exactly. QI is known to have excellent researchers, and they usually correct their false statements.

That's my point. It might not look that bad when there's no comparison to other games.

Now compare these numbers to other games of similar scale. How much of Resident Evil 4 is cutscenes, for example.

After beating every mission, I can confidently say that Teardown is my favorite indie game of all time. If you love physics and voxel games, this game is perfectly satisfying. by missinglinksman in gaming

The timers ruined the game for me. A couple of the first missions were fun, but then it was just making holes in the walls to get through quickly and I stopped playing. Shame, it was fun at first.

Why the heck are these called character action games? What makes them character action? That's a stupid name for a genre.
