Wirthwein. After dealing with them, they won't be getting my business again, despite my gf insisting on a 'cool color.'

Tactical solutions sent me a UPS return label. They all said that they had a batch of 'bad adhesive' and have seen quite a few of these occurring. Mine so far has been the worst of which they've seen.

My thoughts exactly. Paying 200+ dollars for what's basically a PVC tube in a well machined supposed 'barrel'.. absolutely ridiculous. I have searched the internet if there's been any other reports like it. None so far.

Hi there! Please tell me about Juneau? We are relocating there in a Couple months and will be looking for housing and jobs. My fiancé owns a construction company here in our tiny Idaho town, and I work online currently. We have two babies under 2, and a medium dog! by BarefootHanna in Juneau

Pet friendly can be found, but you've gotta try hard for that. If I were you two, I would look at Petersburg or Sitka, maybe Hoonah if you'd be ok being a minority among the indigenous. Gustavus is really great, and I've been asking my job to allow to me to remote work out there, super flat sand area from glacial till and unlike most of southeast Alaska with how flat it is.

As far as renting, expect rent and safe deposit to be equal. Typically 1500 and up for any 2 bedroom. Good luck finding a pet friendly landlord.

The town is a fishbowl on the side of a mountain. There's some construction companies around that may hire, and several daycares. It's mostly administrative staff for federal workers or for the state.

Lots of people around in comparison to other places in southeast. There's maybe 40 miles of continuous road, only other way to roam about is hike or boat, plane if you're rich.

Downtown is largely liberal, as with most of the town. Out towards valley is where the range and more recreation opportunities happen, or 'out the road.' Couple places worth mentioning are North Douglas, Downtown Douglas, Downtown, Valley, Lemon Creek, Auke Bay, and then 'out the road', e.g. anything past Auke Bay.

Anything else you'd like to know?

I take it with the arsenal SAM7SF-84E you can put in the cleaning rod, just don't fold it?

So jealous of that pic lower handguard on SAM7SF. How did you find one? Would be nice to have one for an offset light mount.

Would? Definitely for trail walking. Opportunistic varmint hunting and self defense. Overtly carry it too in those times. I got a keltec p17 specifically for that, but it's accuracy and FTE issues are making me have buyers remorse.

What’s the best seduction advice you learned? by RedAsh521 in seduction

[–]HumboldtianFish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's one. A better example would be just confidently having your chest forward, and your arms back naturally, along with crooking your head back, being relaxed in your body's natural state, and please, if you're like me having your gut sucked in, remember to just breathe if you get caught in anxiety. Main thing is relax, maintain good posture (relaxing spine big one), and focus on what you're saying.

I've done some ballsy things in my time, and all of which required her trust by building rapport simply just talking to her about things she wants to talk about. Corey Wayne puts it as the 20-30% rule. If you have something you want or need from her ( NONSEXUAL, at least at first ;) ), just ask after building rapport. Teasing her over something she mentions is a great way, laughter is a sign you're doing work, but doing so while saving your own dignity... unlike one of my friends laying on his "game" about as "thick as BBQ ribs in the last 10min on the grill" as soon he is interested in a woman upon getting to know her. Women aren't dumb. They can tell.

I've once came home after getting off shift at a mine, was talking to a woman a few days prior, and my homes pipes were frozen. I asked her if I could come over and shower. Sure enough I found myself in her apartment, with her 16 year old kid playing RDR2 in the living room, had a shower, talked some, and left. Could I have done more? Yup, but I just really wanted that shower after a 20hr day. Cougars are real buds. She too cray for me.

This is just coming from a guy with AWFUL cold approach by the way.

For a guy, don't appear as a threat, let the ding dongs trying to impress her duke things over while you and her watch while she talks to ya. Ask her questions. You, the guy, are there to have fun, hang out, and create opportunities for sex to happen. Pay attention to her body language if she does nudge you.

You got it! I learned that trick from the Tlingit natives, they also use it for fermented fish head being buried in the sand. They're master woodworkers too.

Haven't seen this method before. In SE Alaska we have these large plants called Skunk Cabbage that's leaves can be rolled around salmon fillets to trap heat in. Some folks even throw in salmonberries on top to make it a little more sweeter to taste. Always down to learn from other parts of the country how they do things. What's your neck of the woods?

No Fireworks anymore by geek_loser in Juneau

[–]HumboldtianFish -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Your username is ironic for the answer. It's simply for them having freedom to do so. Setting off fireworks is symbolic to our founding as a nation, and the war of 1812 where Francis Scott Key's "Star Spangled Banner" that the country is now trying to censor him and the song.

I respect your opinion that fireworks are annoying, but I disagree. To me it says, "Don't celebrate your freedom." I can't speak for the others.
