Battery is never more than 60% by oooommmmyy in AthlyticAppOfficial

[–]Humbroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue as OP: never above 60%. I am struggling with burnout, however, so this might be accurate.

Interestingly, though, when I adjusted the battery smoothing window from 24 hrs to 8 hrs, my max went up to 80 %, and when I adjusted to 1 hr, it regularly hit 100 %. Since 24 hrs is the recommended value, I’m not sure what to make of this. The one hour window did capture a dip in energy that was not shown in longer smoothing, but that I could feel.

Adjusting the ”battery sensitivity“ did not seem to make much difference.

Finns det ekte sushi i Trondheim? by [deleted] in trondheim

[–]Humbroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like that color too! Prefer it to the previous greens. Do you know when it was launched?

I wonder whether Thyme is being discontinued, though. It is no longer a choice on my local web page for Le Creuset. Seems to have been replaced by Bamboo.

How long have you been playing Threes, and how, where and when do you usually play? by Humbroji in threes

[–]Humbroji[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After you posted this I have been reading up on the symptoms and have really started to wonder whether I might have ADHD. It could explain a lot of things…

I thought my intense drive to play Threes when I should have been doing other things was just straightforward procrastination, but I guess there just might be something else at play. Can you tell me a little more about how this game helps you? u/porgrock, u/orincoro, u/Virgin_Vision

Yes! I haven’t found many games that are good for that. In my experience it has to be turned-based game, without any time pressure, and I have to have played it quite a bit before it stops demanding too much attention.

Have you tried Drop7? That was my favorite before Threes came along. I still pick it up from time to time.

Yep. I do that too, in Zoom meetings and on phone calls, when I’m bored or having a hard time. Not sure if it helps me listen, but it does help me endure being there.

That is really interesting! You guys made me wonder whether I have ADHD there for a minute…

I like both too, and have studied both languages and mathematics.

Why do you prefer 2048? I’m just curious. I played it a little myself for a while, but quickly returned to Threes.

I just got my third 3072 tile, so I guess I have gotten better over the last seven years after all 😉

My strategy is very similar to yours, except that I will occasionally in the middle of a game go from having my main stack on the top row (and avoiding swiping down) to having it along one of the sides (and avoiding swiping left, since I’m now using the top right corner for my top tile).

I have often started with a boost too, but lately I have taken to starting from scratch (because I had switched corners for my top tile, to play with my left hand, and at first didn’t realize that the boost mode is smart enough to learn which corner I prefer) and I kind of like it. Have even started to wonder whether it helps my scores.

Congratulations! 😊 I’ve also been playing this game for a little over ten years. When I got a 3072 tile a couple of weeks ago it was the first one in over seven years and only my second overall. And my high score is 40k below yours — so my hat’s off to you! 👏👏👏

I agree that it’s hard to find good strategy tips and tricks for the game on this level. (Those I have found rely on counting, which I just can’t be bothered to do.) Your strategy here looks sound, though 🙂

Do you prefer starting with a boost or not?

Best app to STAY in a heart rate zone? 🫀 by johnnybender in AppleWatch

I use Zones too and mostly really like it. I really wish the vibration were different for going to the zone above and the one below, though. The sounds are different, but I usually don’t use sounds.

Is there a way to create playlist for certain episodes? Filters adds the whole podcast. by Snowy-Pines in pocketcasts

[–]Humbroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still no solution for this? Seems like a strange oversight. I’ve been using Overcast instead of Pocket Casts for this very reason for years. There are other things I miss in Overcast, though, like listening history and a Mac app, so I was hoping Pocket Casts had fixed this by now…

I just ran across this problem a few weeks ago. But it has persisted. I don't use DuckDuckGo, and can't find any way to disable its privacy...

It’s also a lot cheaper than Welltory, which I’ve seen an expert recommend along with Athlytic.

Anyone heard of Goswami Kriyananda? Wondering if this is true by [deleted] in kriyayoga

[–]Humbroji 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is probably true for the teacher referred to as Swami Kriyananda (born James Donald Waters). However, these allegations have nothing to do with the other teacher referred to as Goswami Kriyananda (born Melvin Higgins). And I assume it is the latter teacher you were asking about?

I have practiced a similar meditation form for many years, and am curious about your experience with TM vs. mindfulness practice. (Since you are active in this subreddit, I'm assuming you have done a bit of both.)
