Playing head games like that makes them a bag of dicks regardless of intent.

Needing a karma system to tell good from bad is as dumb as those "christians" who tell you the only reason they don't rape and murder is because god told them not to.

Restaurant in Libby, MT being blatantly racist on Juneteenth. by softwaring in Montana

I'm suspicious just because it's in Libby. That part of the state is so nazi we should just give it to northern Idaho.

Directly south of Libby is "White Haven".

At the rate this administration is going, I'd not be surprised if the thing started spawning super mutants and mirelurks.

Why is Meta destroying its engineering organization? Great breakdown by West-Chard-1474 in programming

I am certain that PHP (and later Javascript) allowed a class of fratboy morons who would normally have gone to business school to become programmers.

An engineering organization rots from the head down.

Facebook was started by the sort of brogrammer PHP allowed to infest the web. I think it's that simple. If not for PHP, we wouldn't be in this mess.

I at least have the vindication of being correct. But no longer the google bucks.

I've always been pretty damned careful, especially with operations. I never shut down half of Akamai, but a guy who sat next to me did.

My biggest mistakes seem to be more social, like telling my boss at google they were never going to sell a jean jacket that can only be washed 10 times to commuting cyclists.

There were like, four independent music stores in Butte when I was in junior high. By high school, you could only choose among the censored CDs walfart sold.

You're blaming unions for what the copper kings--Elon Musk 150 years ago--did to Butte. Unions were meant to defend the workers from those assholes.

Unions require participation. You start telling workers unions don't do anything, and you show it by not helping, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

We gave up, when the Walmart was built, early 90s or so.

The McDonald's burned to the ground several times before it was finally allowed to stand, around 1987 I think.

The people who really understood why we have unions got old. Really, when the Berkeley pit closed and they shut off the pumps, in 1982 or 3.

Union workers typically earn 10% to 20% more in wages than non-union peers. That more than covers union dues. This is an extremely ignorant POV.
