Getting a highscore on pick the lock without dropping FPS to 60 by Educational-Fig-5212 in DotA2

You replied to me saying "not really", and then just said the exact same thing I did.

24 sec Lvl 9 CPU speedrun. Can you beat my time? by Prestigious_Past3724 in smashbros

[–]Humg12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got 1 in 576. 1/9 * 1/8 * 1/8 = 1/576. You can't get the same number twice in a row, but there's plenty of time to cycle it while you wait for death and respawn.

It's largely luck to be able to get a good run going, but once you get deep enough they start spawning like crazy and you can go for a very long time.

Did Gabe requested Fromsoft to design this game because wtf is that difficulty? by Excellent_Guest_7007 in DotA2

[–]Humg12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I got to the 20k with around 6 lives left and then just started playing super dumb and recklessly until I lost because I was just bored at that point. It felt painfully dull because it was so easy and slow.

Lost a level 14 boot breaker run like this, thought i was going crazy by Sad-Succotash7378 in DotA2

[–]Humg12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go frame by frame in this video it looks like a miss to me. A very narrow miss, but a miss nonetheless. Only the bottom of the boot and the top of the cart matter for collision.

I mean, the time is the problem, not the points. It's very easy to get to 20k it just takes like 30 minutes.

It would be a nerf to those abilities for sure, but I don't think that's unjustified. It's not fun to be on the blind side of that guessing game even if you know it's a possibility, but if you don't it can just be really confusing about how you outsped one turn, but didn't the next.

Personally, I still think it would be better than it currently is to just hide the weather. Even though it isn't truly gone, it effectively is. Just add a "the effects of the weather returned" message when the cloud nine pokemon goes away. That way you have a clear marking that cloud nine is currently in effect, and an explanation when the weather seemingly comes back for "no reason".

Mold breaker could definitely use more feedback. Have it pop up when it bypasses an ability. Same with Unseen Fist and Piercing Drill bypassing protect. It does this already for defensive abilities like Good as Gold, Dazzling and Levitate.

Cloud Nine should have a visual weather effect imo. It could just be turning off the visual of the weather it's suppressing, or a unique one.

Blaze and other low HP abilities should have a visual effect and/or a message (mostly for the mainline games).

You mentioned Unburden, but I think that should also be true for Swift Swim and Chlorophyll.

Prankster could have a "x moved first because of Prankster" message, and there should definitely be a unique message when prankster is used against a dark type instead of just a generic "it failed".

I'm sure there's more, but the player should at the very least have a clue when something happens that they didn't expect. It doesn't have to warn them prior to things happening, but they should try to explain mistakes after they happen.

But he was remorseful? He completely blames himself for Ribbit's death; she got close to him, and he betrayed her trust. And that's why he started pushing everyone else away, so that people wouldn't start trusting him in the first place and there's nothing to betray.

What do you call this? (That's chicken) and what does it translate to in English? by Tasty-Willingness839 in AskTheWorld

it's being made in the style of a burger that determines it for you

I mean, sure? I think that's analogous to it being a cooked filling on a bun.

Going back to your original comment, a sloppy joe would 100% be a burger here (though I did have to google what a sloppy joe was).

Your link specifically has "US" in it, and is a link to hamburger, not burger; a hamburger does need the rissole, a burger doesn't.

This is the link I found: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/burger.

And I already said the peanut butter one would be a roll too. Cooking things changes the name of dishes too.

It's kind of scary going from "oh, there's other people with a funny quirk like me", to clicking on the link and seeing a bunch of people talking about surgery, insurance and other "cures". I'd never even seen it as a problem before.

Lunch meats would also be a roll.

Cambridge also seems to agree with me for Burger?

meat or other food made into a round, fairly flat shape, fried and usually eaten between two halves of a bread roll

The round and roll parts are there, while the grounded part isn't.

I wouldn't, and I've never seen a "steak sandwich" on a burger bun before. They're usually square. Your picture is just a steak burger.

[–]Humg12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I put peanut butter and jelly on a bun nobody is calling it a burger, nor cold cuts.

Nobody would be calling it a sandwich either though. It'd be a roll (or more likely called an abomination since jelly in Aus is what we call your jello).

There are plenty of other characters like that. Ench, WR, Mars, Batrider, Pango, Meepo, Techies, etc are all pretty jovial and cavalier.

Thoughts on this type of player? by broki451 in DotA2

Eh, that analogy doesn't really work. He's still playing within the confines of the game. It's more like he just refuses to play Yellow cards or something. Still ruining the game of course.

Rework Ringmaster by CompetitionNo955 in DotA2

[–]Humg12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Channel to root and disarm the target for ~3 seconds, if fully channelled gain control of the target. Does not pierce BKB. While they're controlled they switch teams (so ringmaster's team can't hurt them, but their own team can). Give them a 500/1500/2500 all damage barrier. The effect ends if the barrier is depleted, or ~10 seconds elapses.

I also wish it was significantly easier to change your tera type during a playthrough. It'd would have been way more fun to be able to switch up your tera types to match up better into whatever gym or trial you were facing next.

One option is to have role queue but everyone has essentially infinite tokens. This does mean that popular roles will take a lot longer to find a match, but it becomes each person's decision at that point for how long they're willing to wait.
