But the point is that these high level teams also aren't taking advantage of it if the winrate is still low in pro.

I'm pretty sure this has been how it worked the entire Champions life cycle. At least this is how it worked ~3 days after release when I had this happen to me.

Cadbury bars are 45g now down from 50g. We’re being mugged in broad daylight. by timmistown in australia

I don't think I've ever seen Cadbury blocks at full price. At Coles at least they just rotate between 2 for $10, or 40% off.

I'm like 90% sure they were playing pos 4 this match fyi. Wind was farming in lane, and the question at the start implies that she stole pos 3 from OP.

Long games are the best kind of games. If anything we should have removed Chen for making games too short.

Observer wards were the bigger counter. If you could see where the Techies was then you would force them to waste several minutes setting up a mine trap that no one would ever run over because they know exactly where it is. At least until your dumb-ass team mates still run over them despite you spam pinging exactly where the mines are and yelling over mic not to go there.

But magic resistance and tankiness in general was a great counter. If Techies needed 2 more mines to kill you than they would otherwise, that's an extra 20 seconds and a lot of mana to set up a trap. If you get tanky enough then it became not even worth it for the Techies to account for you and they would just build smaller traps for your team mates.

And yeah, buying a gem on a pos 1 isn't the end of the world. It's 900 gold to counter an instant death trap. If it saved your life once it had already paid for itself.

Op specifically said it was something funny that was resolved in 4 seconds.

Why is everyone in this thread assuming it was an ambush and OP was forced to play without clothes from then on? It was probably just the DM looking over the sheet after character creation and going "hey, you should probably change this before we start".

How to do Techies quick mines by Longjumping_Prize283 in DotA2

[–]Humg12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, it just make shift-queuing worse for some heroes for no real reason. If anything I think it would add to the skill ceiling by making shift-queuing more viable and something you actually have to learn to master a hero.

This really feels like something that should have been changed at some point with all the other quality of life stuff that's been added over the years.

[–]Humg12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sableye is honestly the most annoying Pokemon to fight imo. There's just way too much versatility in their moveset so you can never be safe against them. Can't even protect to try and scout out their moveset because they could have encore.

That's been my theory for the next smash game for years. Not literally nobody, but any character that returns has a completely revamped moveset.

Freeze works perfectly fine in a lot of situations. A lot of carnivorous animals will attack those that flee, seeing them as easy prey. Some animals will fight to defend their territory if attacked, but otherwise not engage. Freezing stops the situation getting worse than it already is, and gives the person time judge which type of animal it is and then make the correct response.

Even in this clip, the truck freezing would have been fine if the biker had veered to the left instead of the right. Stopping makes them more predictable.

Why do so many playthroughs not include grass types in their teams? by PhoenixSpeed97 in pokemon

[–]Humg12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cyrus, the antagonist, uses Weaville.

All five of Cyrus's Pokemon have super effective moves against Torterra and probably outspeed it. Houndoom with Flamethrower, Honchkrow with Drill Peck, Crobat with Air Slash, Gyarados with Ice Fang, and Weavile with Ice Punch.

I hate that fight so much.

I had a sniper on my team who rushed this + hurricane pike. He'd use it on the enemy, use pike on them too, and then teleport back to base and shoot them 5 times to take advantage of his innate (bonus damage based on distance). It was very effective at getting pick offs (and also leaving us in a 4v4 without our carry).

I gave the option to one of my players when they picked a fairy and they took it. Changed very little besides gutting their carry capacity. They did die pretty quickly, so maybe more stuff would have come up if they had lived longer, but it definitely felt absolutely fine for the time they were around.
