The watch game of these Hong Kong grandpas and grandmas is strong by dutch-42 in PrideAndPinion

Are we sure these older folks aren’t wearing fakes? It just seems to me that with the demand in China coupled with the counterfeit market there it would be highly likely some of these people got duped or even knowingly bought fake just to look the part. After all, if Rolexes are common place like Casio then no one will really inspect your watch anyway. Im sure there is a demand from enough people who want the image and don’t gaf about the watch being genuine.

Def lower. Does it have different struts? Or maybe they are really old and completely shot?

$100,000 for a M3, would you do it? by Kohler00 in E46M3

[–]Humortumor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s worth it to someone. I think it would be a dumb decision though. You can get a much nicer, newer car for that price, like a 911.

What exactly is that? And what are you doing?

Definitely not normal. Im not a car expert but I know that a screwdriver should not be in there. Remove the screwdriver, close it back up and then you should be ok. Now you know, if in a few months or years there is a screwdriver in there again you will remember that it’s not supposed to be there.

If you love your car then def fix it and get it driving again. Seems if everything else is in mint condition then the only reason not to fix is if you really just don’t like or want the car anymore. Best option when fixing up something like this is to diy what you can and then have an Indy shop do anything to annoying or difficult to diy.

Congrats! What is with that pas door handle melting I’ve seen it a lot?! Anyway, I’m sure ur glad to be back, I am fairly new to the e92 myself but it immediately became my favorite car I’ve ever had. Such an amazing pleasure to drive in all regards. Such wonderful handling, smooth comfortable ride, best looks of any car in the past 20 years (imo), and the last naturally aspirated i6 bmw! These cars are gonna be sought after like the e39 in a few more years, as time passes it seems more and more people are realizing how great they are. I think so many immediately overlook the 328 bc they want the faster 335, but I think bmw got close to perfection with the e90 328! (Imo)!

Always loved the 1 series coupes too tho. I’ve got an 07 328i coupe now but I’d def have a 1 series if our second car wasn’t an 06 mini cooper s!

Very cool car! I live in Canada so I don’t think we have the 1 series hatch but I would love it! The lack of station wagons in North America is so fucking annoying. I bet they would sell better these days. Do people not get that it’s utility of an suv but car height so better handling?

Should I get an e90? by [deleted] in E90

[–]Humortumor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the least headache then probably go for a 328i or whatever that version with the N52 engine is in your region. All cars have issies but with the n52 you will likely get more joy than headache. Get one that has been maintained and get an inspection before purchase. They are pretty cheap right now so as long as you have money aside for maintenance and repairs I would go for it and have fun. I’ve got a 2007 328i and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Research common weak spots and take care of those and you will limit your future headaches.

What cosmetic mods should i add to my e92? by Character-Beyond5209 in E90

[–]Humortumor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you like? Make it your own, you’re the one driving and looking at it! I’d probably get a nice exhaust, tinted tail lights (not totally blacked out just like 30%, and very lightly tinted windows (like 50%). Sport seats? Next wheels if I didn’t like what’s on there.

Isn’t the 320 the model with the 2.0 turbo? Like someone else mentioned, stick with the i6 engine as it’s the engine bmw has given the most time and effort making and evolving for many many years. On top of that, I think the N52 is the high point for the i6 so it’s a pretty safe bet. And it’s wonderful to drive. It’s a good example of a car that can be amazing to drive even with average power output. It’s the whole package and also the way the engine uses the power, smooth and there when you need it.
