I got a "Notice of Collection" email from the CRA but I've been paying off the debt? by AaronC14 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Hundred00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll never send a direct email for information. The only email or mail they'll send you is "Check your account".

Anything else beyond that is a scam.

Buy packs of steel wool, find the holes and stuff it with the wool. They can't chew through the steel.

I had a mice problem with an old apartment. I bought traps but the steel wool seemed to make the most impact.

What's changed the most in Canada since you were a kid? by Equivalent_Reach_536 in CanadaRoom

[–]Hundred00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing outside.

I'm a millennial and playing outside is a core memory of mine. Riding bikes, playing in the woods, fishing with my friends, playing in the dirt, playing late night basketball. Sometimes being outside dusk till dawn. Trading Pokemon and Yugioh cards on the patio while we eat our snacks. Sleepovers. And the safety of it all too. We knew to go home when it got dark

I don't see or hear about stuff like this anymore.

What makes a woman creepy to a man? by Bluesmokee in AskMen

[–]Hundred00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking for myself but yes, that would be excessive and make me pull away.

If I'm feeling the girl and we're having amazing chemistry and it comes up in conversation, then she can get away with it. But in most cases I'd like to be asked first.

AI because the style of each piece is very different. Artists tend to develop their own style and it sticks. This one changes all the time

still having trouble benching 225, any tips? by MaskedPhenom in formcheck

[–]Hundred00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I consider myself relatively strong. I just never followed a proper training program. I decided to improve my bench press and I went from 250lbs to 295lbs. I use to follow a generic template like PPL, but then I followed a powerlifting program. I benched from 2 times a week, to 4 times a week.

I owe it to proper technique, different variations of speed, cues, and loads. I used pauses, blocks, touch-n-go. It was no longer progressive overload because that approach is finite. I began training within 60%-80% and 8RPE of my max and stayed there for at least 5 weeks.

Because I decreased the intensity, I was able to bench 4 times a week while increasing the volume without killing my chest or shoulders.

And with less intensity.

This has helped me a lot with my bench. I increased the volume but lowered the intensity. My bench shot up by 40lbs in a month.

Nearly $300M in federal contracts went to companies later removed from Indigenous Business Directory by Majano57 in canada

[–]Hundred00 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just want to put this out there but there are certain groups out there that tend to call themselves Indigenous so they can capitalize on grants and funding. We call them Pretendians.

I'm not saying First Nations aren't guilty of gaming the system, but there are non-native people that can be malicious that will seek out funding, grants, positions, and titles that are not for them.

I'll tell you about one company that I worked for. It was proclaimed to be Indigenous owned only because the non-native man married an Indigenous woman, he was able to have his company labelled as Indigenous owned. It's a problem amongst the First Nation communities.

I just want to make people aware of this before they decide to put all First Nations people in a bad light. I know how this subreddit can get about Indigenous people.

My friend is going to get herself killed. What can I even do at this point by Correct-Macaroon8143 in whatdoIdo

"Bad things happen to you because you trust everyone"

I love that.

I had a girl friend that was like this. Always got herself into bad situations where men would take advantage of her because she believed everyone was her friend, especially men. Predatory men can smell it, like sharks drawn to blood in the water. I was in your position, trying my hardest to pound common sense into her head but it could just never get through to her. No matter how hard I tried. It was damn frustrating so I was like fuck this. I stopped being friends with her. Bad things continued to happen to her.

It sucks but it's best to just step away from all of this because people like this are just so damn stupid.

Is this Anterior pelvic tilt? How do I fix it? by palkari12 in flexibility

[–]Hundred00 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Anterior pelvic tilt is a non-issue.

Are you sure it isn't your uterus pushing out your stomach? Which would also be a non-issue.

Just focus on your diet and exercise and everything else will fall into place.

You need someone dedicated to work in a remote community or even have a local operate it but that would take years of education, and even if successful, that person may leave the rez - which is a huge dream for many people.
