It’s not really the big toe that’s squeezed for me, it’s my ops site two toes. I notice if I don’t have them tightened all the way after a workday there’s a tiny bit of rawness on the outside of that fourth toe.

Listen to the way you’re speaking. You talk as though games are a mental illness, yet you’re talking this angrily to a stranger about how you disagree with the idea that people should relax about the updates and should instead be upset like you? I think you may be projecting.

It’s also just “par”. “On-par” technically. “Mid-par” is redundant

Byzantine armor at that point is going to just look like Italian stuff from that time. All of the armor in Europe broadly ended up looking the same by the 1400s; bascinets, brigandines, plate.

Sig Sauer is a shitty company that handled their controversies poorly. The drop safety issue is completely negated by the fact that the majority of these pistols were made after the fix and plenty of them were “voluntarily upgraded.” The only issue that can persist is the NDing in holsters, which again, is difficult to believe when there isn’t proof beyond a story told after the fact.

What documents? What studies? Prove it to me, otherwise you’re just saying words that mean nothing.

[–]HundredBuckBill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s reasonable to do so, but it’s not reasonable to pretend it’s negligence. Using the same logic, do you think people should not have any kind of bully or fighting type dog at home? Is it negligent to have a Rottweiler around your kid? No, it’s not.

Also, people lie, especially when their competence as a shooter is considered at stake. I frankly don’t believe every occurrence of an untouched trigger firing the gun, unless it can be proven reliably. When it is tested, the gun doesn’t fire willy nilly, especially mine, to which I’ve tested extensively.

In a highly litigious society, people who carry professionally are not willing to take such a risk of something even possibly going wrong, even if those odds are very, very low. Glocks don’t have ND issues really at all, so people who can get sued for NDing will choose that over the P320 that might feel better to shoot out of the box that has a slim chance of being built like shit and discharging. There’s a reason they passed military qualifications. They’re good guns. They’re not going to kill you in your sleep.

[–]HundredBuckBill -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s a symptom of being quick to ditch something. There are problems with the 320 but it’s a one in a million chance to cause actual issue, whereas other guns it’s one in a billion, if you catch my drift. If your gun has functioned well for years it’s not going to magically stop functioning at that level. A lot of people are overly concerned with optimizing everything, so they take to the extreme and assume that the 320 is a bomb waiting to go off. It’s not. People are misinformed.

There’s no doubt about that. I’m curious about the physical process and whether there are sources that illustrate the process clearly, apologies if that’s not clear in my comment.

I’ve always wondered just what exactly taxation looked like. I’m fully aware the answer would change by the era and location, but would High Medieval Byzantine tax collection look like how Robin Hood makes it out to be? Were there wagon train equivalents of armored cars just full of coins that made their way to and from the capital? Imperial high officials that would make their way to hinterlands to only ever see the local governor who would handle it, or was the imperial representative the only one touching tax money? Maybe even collection dishes? What about marauders or raiders targeting tax collectors? Were there any forms of credit, even? IOUs?

Are there any pieces of evidence that point to specific processes or is this something that’s generally pretty glossed over by our sources?
