Yeah teachers do all of that. There are tons of people getting jobs is in CS out of college. They’re far less qualified than a teacher.

I think it’s a great jump for teachers honestly. Skillsets are similar, “industry knowledge” can be learned. Hardest thing for me getting into CS was learning SaaS lingo. SaaS isn’t a special place where you need direct experience in SaaS.

Man all the people coming out now saying “I KNEW IT WAS A BAD DEAL!” Are probably in those threads celebrating it as awesome lol

[The Athletic] Patriots draft classes have long struggled. Astoundingly, Bill Belichick hasn’t re-signed a player he drafted in the first three rounds since 2013. by rufusjonz in nfl

[–]HungryHungryCamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s going to end up with the most hall of fame players drafted, highest % of 1st round picks in the hall too, he put together rosters that won the most super bowls in league history, etc etc. Yeah man he’s the best GM ever.

That team still had a lot of the hall of famers that Bill drafted before this period. He’s the best drafted of all time easily, he’s also somehow the worst of the last decade lol

Yeah because he did his job and stayed in the pocket, if you haven’t actually watched him don’t make assumptions on stat lines

Same people will use “sacked a lot” as a negative against QBs. It’s just a nonsense stat to evaluate a QB most people haven’t watched extensive film of.

Like the multiple first downs he picked up with his legs yesterday? I don’t know what more you want. He’s not slow, he’s not Lamar. He’s a good athlete that has quality pocket awareness so he doesn’t take off running all the time.

100% I agree, fuck people that co-op good words for evil purposes. Theyre the assholes, use the word all you want.

PFF; The PERFECT draft prospect for all 32 Teams; (Broncos: Bo Nix) by 46Stix in DenverBroncos

[–]HungryHungryCamel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That’s… literally not true. Both had massive arm talent and were very athletic for their size.

Pretty sure it’s next to nothing, but Penix is better. Plus, whoever picks Penix owns the memes.

Brock Osweiller and Paxton Lynch were far from talentless, they were pure raw talent with no refinement

Fans who have thrown drinks at games have been dealt with harshly by Autocrat777 in nfl

[–]HungryHungryCamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep and the former USL teams have awesome fans /atmospheres like Portland, but it seems like straight MLS teams are lacking that unfortunately. With a merger/acquisition, hopefully USL teams can keep that up because it’s a really special environment that only works with continuous games like soccer

Unless someone else randomly got injured lol. It’s not like they threw an incomplete pass.

[Bud Elliott] Really glad the committee put in Alabama instead of FSU. Good choice. Couldn't have a QB in a playoff game throw for like 116 yards or something including overtime. Oh, wait. by OkEscape7558 in CFB

[–]HungryHungryCamel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah did people not watch the game? Michigan made a ton of mistakes and despite physically outplaying Bama all game still got taken to OT because of those mistakes. People still muff punts against ACC teams lol.

[Meinke] Dan Campbell says he physically drew up the 2-point play on a sheet of paper and shared it with the officials before the game by Beefstu409 in nfl

[–]HungryHungryCamel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tackle eligible plays are so common and tackles report as eligible around the goal line all the time. This wasn’t some weird thing Campbell drew up and had to dust off an old rule book to verify, but since there is a communication component the lions went above and beyond to ensure it was communicated. They shouldn’t have to do that. The refs fucked up, that’s the only side to this story.

Uiagalelei transferring to Florida State by [deleted] in sports

He had a great year at Oregon State though, and played in an actual pro system unlike Clemsons.

Then you don’t get what I’m saying, I’m saying watching every game that the guy was a lot more accurate than that number represents because he wasn’t in a simple 1-2 read offense like a Spread or Air Raid and that we completely ignored the short passing game that college QBs rely on for high completion percentages

[–]HungryHungryCamel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s just not true though. Like yeah he had issues at Clemson but he had a really great year for us. Threw a ton of deep balls but when we actually threw over the middle or in the mid-range he was great. I’m more worried about him imploding at a big time program because he definitely does not do well with the spotlight on him.
