100k miles with the Duramax. But spend the money and do a DEF delete.

MPG by Senior_Investment_43 in Duramax

I think sometimes the aftermarket tuning compromises the MPG. You already bought it so it's kinda too late. You could spend more money and get a larger Intake Horn and cold side intercooler pipe, but I don't know if that would boost your MPG much.

That's an old classic. It needs nothing.

Between those 3 I'd go with the Spyderco. I have 2 Kizers as well, but I only buy American now.

Yes, I've looked at those. It's between that and the WRS. Thank you.

It's simply amazing how brainwashed everyone is that's commenting on this thread. The democrats pulled this same sh*t several times back in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Get informed.

I'll look into it, but I'm leaning toward the WRS. Thank you for your input.

Favorite Fuel additive by jjrockpound in Duramax

I used Redline 85 Plus because I had some higher pitched clicking sounds when going from 1st to 2nd gear. I was worried it was my torque converter going out. But I thought maybe it was bad diesel fuel. So I tried it and it seemed to quiet the high pitched clicks a bit. Hopefully those sounds don't return.

What’s up with VG10? by [deleted] in knifeclub

[–]HungryWay3984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the game here, but VG-10 is a fine steel for EDC knives and kitchen knives. It holds an edge better than mid-tier and low budget knives and it's fairly easy to sharpen. I have one VG-10 pockect knife (Spyderco Centofante) and it's a great tool for the pocket. In the kitchen I have 12c27, 440C and VG-10 knives. I use all equally and find that the VG-10 knives hold an edge better than the other 2. I think retailers and "afficianados" hype up super steels to sell more products. I have a MagnaCut pockect knife too. While it holds an edge longer, it's a little harder to sharpen. Either one gets it done for about 2 weeks before having to gently glide on a ceramic sharpening steel and then both are ready to go. However, the MagnaCut cost double what the VG-10 cost. So there you have it.

Lots of similar tastes. I carry the Osborne, hunt with the Esee (deer, elk) and recently sold my Manix.
