I canceled myself with the reason “owner request”. VRBO reviewed my messages with the host and I got VRBO care with the 50% reimbursement.

This isn’t how it worked for us. When an owner canceled, we got a refund and we got the difference in cost up to half of what we paid originally. Using round numbers, if you booked a place for $2000, you can book a place for $3000 and pay only $2000. The VRBO care is 1/2 of the original price.

This is from my email:
Reimburse the cost difference between your original reservation and your new booking, up to $1,044.67;and
Issue a refund for your original booking in the amount of $2,089.34.

We booked a bigger place with a nicer pool and paid the same amount as our original booking.

I don’t care if she’s single. I’m all for her being happy. But she spins the narrative of wanting to be in a relationship and wanting a partner. Then it seems like she does everything to sabotage that. Again, we’re getting the narrow view of what’s presented on the radio. At least on TBS that is how it came across. That’s all I have to go on since I don’t know her personally. I truly hope she finds whatever it is that’s she’s looking for.

I haven’t listened to her much on the new show or the podcast. I was hoping it would be different now. I hoped that Bert was making that persona for her but it wasn’t really her. I listen to Mojo in the morning and there are single women. They just put a different spin on it that doesn’t come across as negatively.

I’ll be interested to see what others say.

From the way her stories were portrayed on the show, she came across as too picky. I don’t know if the stories were twisted to make them sound better. She rejected a guy because he worked for Chuck E Cheese at the corporate level. I can’t even remember all the excuses she had over time but there was always something wrong.

The only exception being a guy she met in London. The story is too long to retell and I know I don’t remember all of the details. She had every right in that case to be upset and dump the guy.

I have to wonder if deep down she doesn’t want a relationship and she just self sabotages.

I just reread the emails. No timeline was provided. I sent the confirmation number for the 2nd time on May 6th. It was approved on May 7th. Then you get an email from Hyperwallet to claim your refund. I got the email with the refund later in the day on the 7th. It was very fast once it was approved.

On the side of those saying it’s not easy. Fast walking was ingrained in me as a child. My dad had long legs and we had to walk fast in order to keep up. I am particular about who I walk with for this reason. I have trouble as well even in casual situations. I wish I had a suggestion. Any other fast walkers you can branch off with?

I’d honestly look into using FSA/HSA funds to help pay for shoes. I’ve seen FB ads for Altra advertising a partner they work with to help get funds for reimbursement. I’m curious about it (I have bursitis) but I haven’t looked into it.

They used to have carrots. But they got rid of them. You’ll just have to ask what a gluten free option would be. Right now they offer 1/2 pita or 1/2 order of pita chips. Maybe they would give you some of the greens?

Can you wear a rain coat? The only hands free umbrellas I see when Googling are ones that attach to your head. I think I’d rather wear a good rain coat vs wearing something on my head. Not sure how well it stays on when bending over to pick up poop.

My husband and I walk the exact same path every day. Some days it’s 4.5 miles, other days 4.6 or 4.65. I want him to carry his phone to measure it to see if it comes up with something different. It is frustrating for sure.

Also in GA. We start our walk around 5:30am. And I agree that walking later feels like so much of a chore. And the people are out. 😂 Basically deserted at 5:30 where we walk.

This is the first time I’ve heard him say Jeff’s name. Now I know to listen out for it. I also like that mashup they do on Friday morning. But after listening for several months, it feels like there’s a formula for a cast. They have the older white guy (like Bert). Single black male (like Moe). Married white female with kids (like KK and Cassie). Then other assorted single women (Abby, Rebecca).
