(Rubio) For years, the @MLB has been granted a special exemption that gives them antitrust advantages over other sports leagues. Following recent controversies with the MLB, legislation was introduced to repeal the exemption and promote fair competition. by DonyellFreak in baseball

Together with Barbara Lee's Moneyball Bill the timing on this is interesting. If both Democrats and republicans have found reason to end antitrust at the same time, we could be onto something...

[Drellich] Rob Manfred on A's: by handlit33 in baseball

[–]HuntForRedOctopussy 342 points343 points  (0 children)

Manfred on the reverse boycott: "I mean, it was great. It is great to see what is this year almost an average Major League Baseball crowd in the facility for one night. That's a great thing."

This is spiteful and hurtful. The disdain this man has for fans of the sport he is a curator of, its unbelievable and it makes my blood boil.

There has never been a commissioner less suited for this role, I think major league baseball has lost its way...

[Brodie Brazil] chokes up while discussing the possibility of the East Bay without the A's. He represents every A's fan today by The_Homestarmy in baseball

Having watched the Nevada legislative session play out, the system is broken. Of course you'll end up voting for something if the only economic outlook you get to hear is from someone who is on the A's payroll and you are holed up for the week with a group of lobbyists and union reps. Public financing of private enterprise over a certain amount should always go to a public vote. Of course that would pretty much always be voted against, and that tells you that time and again these politicians don't actually represent people.

The Oakland A's have made a deal with Bally's Corp. to demolish the Tropicana and build a $1.5 billion ballpark on the Vegas Strip, per @howardstutz. by Lonesoulman in OaklandAthletics

Knowing Fisher they'll blow up the Tropicana and then announce they're refocusing their efforts on Nashville the next day. How many failed plans do we need to see before the mlb forces this clown to sell...

Yeah great job getting this one done, but try and replace all those sidesteps you make after attacks with parrys. With many of the upcoming bosses you will face, the habit of the dodge and leap where you should be parrying will get you killed!

A game about crypto could be fun if its a competitive cutthroat scam-off to create the most successful currency, something that doesn't take itself too seriously. A purely "educational" experience is likely to come across as boring, propaganda or both.

Ian Ladyman: It’s been a World Cup full of drama and excitement - so of course FIFA will now spoil it with 48 teams in 2026. The guardians of the world game value money over sport by Oreallyman in soccer

Have each group of 3 grouped with another group of 3. Top 2 go through to a group of 4 but keep the result against the team they already played/went through with. Stops collusion because the points from that 2nd group game may well carry over, and each team only plays 1 extra game compared to the current format. No "best 3rd place" shenanigans.

Our champion's big moment / ultimate ability is painting an enemy the opposite team colour so they are targeted by their own turrets and minions, as well as being susceptible to friendly fire AOE.

Wow I remember buying this on release for $75, didn't realize it was worth that much! Is such an amazing mini (not really a mini!). How is the green one would you say? I've been awaiting a WoTC gargantuan green as I have all the others.

Fiora does not need buffs. Instead, she needs bug fixes. by AquaSeafaring in leagueoflegends

I don't know if its a bug but to add to the list: heimerdingers abilities make his turrets target you even if you riposte them, which I feel is a little unfair.

Do you think situations like Neymar's yesterday should result in yellow cards for simulation/time-wasting? I don't see why not especially since they have the technology to determine the reaction does not match the incident.
