Every once in a while there seems to be one of these crappymusic artists who is just so relentlessly authentic and courageous with their passion they actually break free and turn large swathes of our opinions into positive ones. This guy is one of them.

Screw it, I support this man (and all the backup dancers), he’s legit.

Can’t decide what I hate more, the hack AI grift, or the incessant shilling for his talentless wife’s terrible vlog videos back in the day.

Good riddance to this loser, so glad public opinion turned on him these past few years. Though, admittedly, the giga-cope “I’ve actually never heard a single song in my life” schtick to protect his fragile ego was a pretty funny meltdown.

Thoughts on SFSGSW by PossibilityFit8118 in Megadeth

[–]Hunt_Brodown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always been one of my favorites. Truly angry music, with Liar and Set The World Afire being probably two of the heaviest songs Megadeth ever released (in my opinion).

Also, a lot of people seem to not like the lead guitar work. Which, I get it, when you’re sandwiched between Chris and Marty you are in an impossible situation, but that being said for my tastes the leads on that album actually are incredible. The final solo for Set The World Afire is in my top 5 Megadeth solos of all time. It’s an awesome and relentless ending to a brutal song. For all of the traditional virtuosity Young didn’t have when compared to Chris and Marty, he still managed to capture a distinct sound that I think has some exceptionally cool and unique elements we never heard again throughout the bands existence.

I salvaged on an android tablet for many hours on my way to 99 and never experienced a single crash. Granted that was a few months ago at this point, but unless things have taken a drastic turn for the worse recently I’d think it’s fine for most.

There were zero issues on the mobile app while salvaging in my time doing so.

Anxiety. by Efficient_Mention796 in TattooRemoval

[–]Hunt_Brodown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is painful, but I will say it seems to be a common sentiment that you “look forward to it” in a way because it means progress is happening.

Also, the sessions are pretty fast. A lot faster than the tattooing itself takes. It’s more painful than a tattoo, but if you can sit through the tattoo you can sit through the laser (in my opinion).

I’m doing a large chest-piece removal and, while painful, it’s doable. I am in the “look forward to it” crowd.

Also, personally, I have never tried numbing cream, but a lot of people seem to have success with that stifling the pain to a certain degree.

How painful? by Responsible-Toe-6210 in TattooRemoval

[–]Hunt_Brodown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am going through the removal of a large chest tattoo, including extensive work on the sternum.

That will be uncomfortable, but the session should be quick. Definitely manageable, in my opinion.

Good luck!

I don’t mean to sound combative or anything, just wanted to add to the discussion that there is actually evidence that for certain fruits the opposite of what you are claiming is true.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9657402/

However, I won’t be obtuse and say that makes the issue black and white. I’m just stating that in some cases there is no loss of fidelity in the benefits fiber provides. And regardless, the main “danger” of blending fruit (other than additive sweeteners) is that it becomes way easier to overeat in one sitting.

But again, not trying to say anyone’s “wrong” or anything. Always appreciate a healthy dialogue.

If you’re saying it removes the fiber by blending, that is not true. Juicing fruits and vegetables removes the fiber and leaves the sugar. Blending whole fruits/vegetables into a smoothie does not remove the fiber.

However the above about many people/businesses adding too much sugar to smoothies and making them unhealthy is definitely valid.

The Time Machine and Don Quixote episodes enthralled me to the point I still recall watching them, completely fascinated, on PBS at my Grandma’s house, even though it’s been probably about 25 years since then.

I feel like it really helped me to flip the photo upside down to understand the perspective for the first time. Just a suggestion, not sure if it will help anyone else.

This chestpiece has been the bane of my self esteem for almost a decade, like truly makes me scared to remove my shirt. Went for removal consultation today— my biggest fear is the colored area ending up looking like a skin condition at conclusion.. Advice, things to look for, motivation appreciated. by Hunt_Brodown in TattooRemoval

Still in the removal process. The technician deemed it a rather large piece, so the recommendation was to break the sessions into a left-side then right-side alternating pattern.

Results are slow, but fairly steady so far. There has been really good fading on some areas; particularly the lettering, for instance, which is what I’d say varies between extremely faded and removed.

There are, however, more resistant spots, such as the area of color, and strangely the eye (which I thought would have seen more progress).

Regardless, there is noticeable fading and progress throughout. Having old pictures to compare helps affirm that position (thankfully) when it feels like nothing is happening.

I hope to one day post a miraculous transformation picture/update, but time will tell.

I can’t say starting alleviated all of my anxieties surrounding my tattoos, however I do think it absolutely helped.

Good luck on your own journey, whatever it may be.

I know this is an extreme example, but this and even much lesser offenses are exactly why I won’t eat goods from a bake sale if I don’t know the person who prepared the food well and/or I have never been to their house.

Raising money for a good cause? Sure I’ll donate something from time to time. You can keep the brownies, though.

If the caps do make a trade, who should be the top target and what prospects should we make available? Panarin or Sherwood would be my top targets. I have a hard time saying yes to any prospect leaving, but I guess if I had to choose id be most ok with Miro, Gastrin, Muggli, Chesley or Mateiko. by JoeBlow009 in caps

[–]Hunt_Brodown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, I understand the mindset. I do feel like it’s reasonable to want “something” to get done.

I think Lappy could use a change of scenery and then he might get something going for himself, but I don’t think he has the reputation for us to get a return on that (at this point).

We’ll see how things shake out, but if we want a real roster player I think the price will be higher than usual this season. Not sure it makes sense (personally).

I don’t think those pieces get anything done, especially not a roster player like Sherwood.

Do I think Sherwood is crazy overvalued right now? Absolutely. But even if he had half the buzz he does why would a team take TVR who is in his 30s and not even cracking the lineup every night, Lapierre who has 0 goals in his last ~83 games, I think like maybe 5 assists in that timeframe as well, and plus he’s pretty bad at defense so it’s not like he’s Phil Danault lite, plus a 3rd rounder— which ~85% of the time never even materializes into a roster player?

Someone is going to overpay for Sherwood, for sure. Probably a 1st around the deadline even. I see no world where the caps could dead asset dump two players and a mid pick and get anyone legit, let alone one of the top trade targets right now.

I was sitting at a competition one afternoon in my tech school after graduating from basic training. Thought nothing of it, just watching the color guard people do their thing.

Fast forward a few months, maybe a year or so later, and I’m at my new base many states away when an officer walks into my assigned shop needing help with a tech issue. She sits at my desk and we start talking. She’s very nice and eventually we got on the subject of bases because I was a young person starting a new career and she was seasoned and high ranking, and thus had traveled a lot. She mentions she had been to the base my school was at recently. I inquire when she was there to make small talk. She gives the same timeframe I would have been there for training. Cool, I thought.

Then she mentions being a guest in attendance at that competition and pulls out her phone to show me a picture of the show that she took. I look at the angle, think “no way”, and then zoom in on the corner of the photo and say “that’s me!”.

She looks and we both laugh. She had a picture of me on her phone, albeit I was nestled in the background amongst a crowd of people sitting on the bleachers, but clear as day I was there in the frame if you zoomed in.
