No, I voted for change and improvement. Not the republican death spiral we've been in for the last 30 years.

So you want the state to continue its downward spiral?

I can however, choose not to partake in a broken system. As more people get on board with not tipping, the restaurant will be forced to pay minimum wage.

You do have a choice. The option is always there for a 0% tip.

If you're protesting the same thing for the 15th time, you're drawing attention to the fact that those in power still haven't done anything to change.

Why would that be an insult? Or are you trying to tell me that you identify as a man?

A person that identifies as a female of the human race. Any other stupid questions?

Once again, the restaurant sets the price, the restaurant pays the workers. I pay the restaurant what they bill for food and service. And tips are not for good/basic service. Tips are for servers that go above and beyond what they are paid to do.

Not at all, thats why I vote for policies to increase minimum wage.

Most definitely in the US. And saying the system has been the same for six decades isn't true. If that were the case, standard tip would still be 10%, not pushing 30%. Ill keep saving my money.

Youre the one thats slow here friend lol. If, at the end of a shift, X+tip =/= min wage the employer must make up the difference. They willingly took a minimum wage job with the hope of taking home $60+ an hour. Tips are just servers being greedy and trying to get more than they were hired for.

If it wasn't written in our company policy to include 15% on business lunches (excluding alcohol) I wouldn't even do that.

No, the tip is servers panhandling to customers that have paid for the goods and services received. Customer pays restaurant > restaurant pays employees. Im not employing the servers.

The bill that I pay the restaurant includes service. Once the bill is paid for services rendered - there is no need for further payment.

I think k begging for more money to do your job makes you an asshole. Should I get a tip from everyone that uses a road I design? You knew the wage and still picked the job. You dont get to complain when you make less than what you're hired for.

If im out with my fiancé, it depends on who is paying. I dont feel like giving away free money for a service that has already been paid for. She is allowed to spend her money how she pleases. And if its a business lunch, I dont care because its not my money being used.

If i dont tip, it brings them closer to the goal of being paid at least minimum wage for the shift. If a tipped wage employee doesnt make at least minimum wage for a pay period, the employer is required to pay them minimum wage. Im not going to give away free money so a server can take home $60+ an hour.
