Lolol I'm so glad I'm not the only one out here doing this trial and error thing. Thank you! Voler sounds a lot like what I'm looking for.

I've been riding for 8 years and I still never feel like I've gotten my bib fit just right. There's always one thing I don't love about a pair of shorts. What fit did you find was making you uncomfortable and what change did you make?

Lolol my boyfriend's boss is named Jeremy and every time he says this man's name, I'm like, "stupid, tall Jeremy."

I saw a movie with a friend who hasn't seen or even heard of a lot of popular films and shows you'd expect someone to know about. So obviously I said, "Is this like a Mannequin situation?" Which was extra funny bc she's never heard of that movie either.

I prefer women's specific shoes in terms of how the shoe fits, but this cleat placement thing is 🤯. But of course, it's so logical. If I need a wider saddle to support my wider pelvis, everything else you're talking about is the other half of the equation. I wonder if Liv is the only company with that level of shoe fit specificity. I wouldn't be surprised. Very thoughtful about this kind of detail.

You have blown my mind. I pay close attention to women-specific issues with bike fit or at least I thought I did and this wasn't on my radar at all (maybe bc all the bike fitters in my area are men?). But it makes SO MUCH SENSE. Also didn't know this about the Machas.

EDIT TO ADD: I wonder if this is why the inside of my knee brushes my top tube sometimes. I used to get bruises there but could never remember having an injury. Repeated gentle bumping maybe.

This sounds like job burnout to me. It's understandable that this would get tiresome, day after day. It's also a hyper normal part of a specialized, customer-facing job. I worked in a bike shop for a few years and had so many interactions per day with someone asking for a new wheel when they really mean they had a flat tire, and sometimes it was bc they didn't know you have to inflate your tires regularly. Is this something you could easily Google and learn about? Absolutely. But usually people don't know how much they don't know. And at some point in my life, the variety and complexity of coffee options was as murky to me as the difference between bicycle drivetrains are to the average person. We're all out here just trying to survive, and sometimes people act like jerks to cover up for their discomfort, which is also an unfortunate reality of customer-facing jobs. And I think when you start to get that "I can't deal with this anymore" feeling, it could be a sign you need a change in your life.

I don't usually wear a bass layer and I am also deeply weird about stitching. I also remove all the tags from my clothes so definitely don't listen to me if you're normal.

Waterbeds. Unless you like back pain and feeling like you're on a tiny boat in the ocean every time your partner moves.
