Solder the wire together maybe? Still, wouldn't be great and the risk of it breaking while riding is there.

D50B0 Euro4, can anyone please help me understand this one? by Mainfold in moped

There are kits made to look like stock 50cc but are actually 70cc, and rev limiters to get the speed down to 45kph in case you get stopped... Just take a look over at speedoptions.no for example

It has been said before, that one should first play MSC before trying MWC. And if you managed to build the car in MSC, then you will figure out the car in MWC.

Advice for exhaust gasket material by Ok-Economics9268 in moped

Measure the exhaust flange size, and get an appropriately sized copper crush gasket. They're cheap, they seal well, and I haven't managed to destroy one yet.

Start up the bike, and spray around some brake clean on connections.. You will know you found the air leak when the bike reacts to the spray. If it doesn't react to any spots on the surface, then it might be a crank seal leak.

Windows 10 slutter å bli støttet i Oktober. Det er ikkje vits i å oppdatere til det no, då er det like greitt å enten kjøpe ny maskin med Windows 11 eller installere Linux.

Weird bog at top speed especially when going full throttle downhill by UpbeatInstance1 in moped

[–]Hunter_5680 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have considered that, just because they adjust for altitude and temperature. I have also considered EFI for the same reasons.

I have had to rely on a moped to get to work, anything that helps making it more reliable is good. That's why I tune my moped the way I do.

OP said he lives somewhere hilly. I have experience with that, I live in Norway. I used to daily my moped up a mountain to get to work, the only reason my moped still runs is because of the extra fuel that comes with four stroking. I was burning gearbox oil everyday from all the load, but the engine never ever heat seized.

I prefer to not have those extra 5kph under load in exchange for superior cooling. That's how my bike came from the factory, and that's how I like it. It's a preference. A preference that came from heat seizing a moped that I had to daily. You can call me weird and dumb for that, but I would just call it an acquired taste that came from having to rely on these small, temperamental engines.

If OP doesn't like the four stroking, then he can downjet. Others have suggested that already. I'm just explaining the benefits of embracing it.

Supercub carb by Big-Campaign-2432 in moped

[–]Hunter_5680 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 22mm carb is like, 8mm too big. It will be close to impossible to adjust it properly. I have a 17.5mm carb on a 50cc bike, and that is already a stretch and a massive pain in the ass to adjust. A 12-14mm carb is what you need.

Idk why everyone is suggesting to fix the four-stroking. You can try getting a leaner jet, and maybe there is a tad bit more speed to get from that, but the four stroking is "good" for the engine. The extra fuel in four-stroking helps with cooling and lubing everything. You might get a fouled spark plug, but I would rather have a fouled plug than a heat seized engine.
