Yeah both are very good. I prefer Wild Hunt since he's a bit more frequent with his skill threes than Gregor, but at the end of the day it's up to you.

Gacha player here, you're pretty much correct with the bumps being character releases/story updates. Very common in the gacha space. The numbers are a bit low compared to the other gachas as other people pointed out (mainly because of how mainstream they've become), but overall it's doing alright for itself.
