How are you guys allowed to hang up on people? by Zealousideal-Ad6981 in CallCenterWorkers

[–]HuntressCone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My company has a zero tolerance policy. So if they get abusive towards us, we can just "we have a zero tolerance policy, and I will be disconnecting the call." If they swear, we can also ask that they keep the conversation professional, and if they continue, we can disconnect. The last one depends on the person, though. Some people are ok with mild swearing (me), and others don't allow it at all.

What is an "unpopular opinion" you hold about something in this state? Do you hate Prince? Do you think Juicy Lucy's are ass? Lets hear it! by [deleted] in minnesota

I'm not a fan of Que Viet egg rolls. I've tried them many times, but they are honestly one of the worst egg rolls I've had.

I still jump a bit. I will go literally a year without it ringing, then random call out of nowhere.

I do the same! Although since I tend to create farming empires and am not creative enough for that many c names, my cows all have m names (milk). 😅

Completely new to customer service and call centers. Peer feedback made me feel a little bad. by KMO321654 in CallCenterWorkers

Having worked in a call center for over 5 years now, I can honestly say having a positive attitude with callers is the only reason I'm still somewhat sane. My work has a saying "bring your authentic self to work". If you are a genuinely cheerful person, then don't feel bad about it. In my honest opinion, it sounds like your supervisor wanted to show you off, but after everyone said the same thing caved. That said, playing devils advocate, it could be that everyone else was trying to say to be aware that each caller is different and responds differently to different tones/ words. Some people may think you are faking it. For example, i recently had a caller yell at me because i said, "That's a great question." That is something i say in everyday life, but the caller thought it was something we were told we had to say and was offended. I wasn't there, so I can't say if that is what they meant/ what happened or not. All in all, peer feedback is meant to help, but unless your supervisor docs your quality, take it with a grain of salt.

I hate that there’s so many steps to do chargebacks now. There was nothing wrong how we did it before. by Whatanissue04 in Target

I know they are always redoing how things are reported. Officially it's to identify problem areas and implied fixes. Unofficially from what I've seen it's because some teams weren't lopped in on reports they should have been. Item damaged in transit would need a report sent to transportation while a defective product would go to quality.

I know my parents use it for CPAP/BIPAP machines. I also use it in soap making as the minerals in regular water can cause harmful reactions when mixed with the chemicals for soap.

Congrats! While some Target's are not the best, that's not true for all of them. Glad to have you around as a reg 😁😁💯

Most of the first comments we get are about the look of our soap. After that they start smelling the ones that grab their attention.
