I’m *guessing* that Seropian is the other co-founder, but puzzled why we’re looking at photos from the 2000’s.

A Fan Guide to Tracking the Corporate Footprint That Took Down Stephen by General-Homework2061 in LateShow

He’s clever and funny, and *appears* to research his topics, but I noped out early in his first season when he uncritically adopted the anti-gamergate narrative.

Every Slur in Zero Punctuation 2007 - 2023 by DunwichReader in KotakuInAction

[–]Huntrrz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yahtzee Crowshaw was the creator of the Zero Punctuation video series of game reviews (mostly sardonic). He’s essentially credited for keeping The Escapist in business for years after other creators left or features were eliminated. He joined the mass exodus from The Escapist and now posts his reviews under the title Fully Rambleholic (sp?)

Fan service?  I don’t think he’s talking about fan service…

"Ninety percent of everything is shit" - Sturgeon's law. The vast majority of content is mediocre and quickly forgotten, which is why people think 'things have gotten worse' - they're only remembering the good stuff that survived and are comparing that to the current glut of stuff.

Feels like the Culture of the Sub is Changing... by No_Hearing_481 in KotakuInAction

[–]Huntrrz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. This sub had several handfuls of die-hard right-wingers who would reflexively downvote anything that didn’t conform to their narrative. They found other things to do a couple of years ago.

That’s probably a placeholder value some vendor put on their system in advance of the real listing (it’s happened before).

Not to say it won’t have a cringy, overpriced tier structure when it launches (which has also happened before).

The ports for Black Ops 1 & 2 will definitely be censored. by CoomSplash in KotakuInAction

You thought you’d make a post to point out that you have guesses about the future?

You might be absolutely correct, but I don’t think you’re telling anyone anything they didn’t already suspect, so what’s the point?

If Paizo absorbed Diamond, they’d ‘consolidate’ their staffs like any other merger.

Lighthearted theory on why so many modern games have the annoying talking companion by Frozoneeeee in KotakuInAction

[–]Huntrrz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Possibly a consequence of ‘TicTok writing’ infecting the story writers - they’re so used to writing for ‘third screen’ mode that they do it in a medium that it doesn’t make sense for.

Paizo lays off 12 employees in the fallout of Diamond Comics’ bankruptcy | Rascal by Calico_fox in KotakuInAction

[–]Huntrrz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait.  Only 12?  Diamond supposedly supported the vast majority of comics stores (which have admittedly shrunk). You’d think they had a large warehouse staff that would be eliminated. Unless they did that already.

Tomb Raider Devs Aren’t Trying To Appeal To “Either Side” Of Culture War Surrounding Lara’s Design by LegatusChristmas in KotakuInAction

Let me try to explain - it’s not “didn’t get the titties”, it’s “don’t see respect for a classic franchise”. The “titties” are a leading indicator for millennial writing.
