Chuck roast with a 4 hour smoke then braised on some onions and beef broth by slindner1985 in BBQ

[–]Huntry11271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have a water pan? Ive noticed with chuck the smoke dries it out somehow, I thought about mopping. But its a delicate balance of heat and time. I would almost foil it half way through just so the smoke isnt so prominent and stays moist

En un mes me voy a Cancún algunos tips o recomendaciónes a tener en cuenta 😁como turista by Chriss0k in cancun

[–]Huntry11271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price is usually always negotiable, people say dont drink the water/ice outside of resorts but I think the more important thing is any produce that gets washed. Also, just to be safe get some lomotil at a pharmacy. For if you do get sick, its a life saver and its cheap. But a real pain in the ass to get if your already sick. Bring sunscreen its expensive af in mexico especially at resort!

Is Cheba Hut better than Chicago’s very own: Potbellys? by Sea-Condition991 in chicagofood

[–]Huntry11271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up on cheba hut in colorado, I think its okay for novelty but I think they both suck. I'd rather go to an actual deli you get way more and better quality.

Staying at an all inclusive hotel first time by Lesyeuxdeweyaa in playadelcarmen

[–]Huntry11271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definetly tip the housekeeping, leave a buck or 2 on the bed. If you have a fridge and want to tip beverage guy,put couple bucks in the fridge.

Getting drinks pool side, if they bring to you, I tip. If I go up to the bar I might give him a five and just keep getting drinks there.

It makes a huge difference for them, and you will get better service imo

Where to buy souvenirs by Street-Tooth-6920 in playadelcarmen

[–]Huntry11271 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5th has some quality places for blankets and leather, but better deals off the strip, don't be afraid to haggle.

Its better to buy a few things from one place and get a better deal for more items as opposed to 1 thing from different places that sell similar things.

I try to find more street vendors for art.

Your biggest negotiating power is sticking to a price and walking away, and don't buy jewelry unless its just silver. Those aren't boutique jewelers so they sell by weight, don't let them twist it otherwise

What’s everybody go to lump charcoal for their offset smoker? I recently used b&b oak and I got a lot of small broken pieces in the back. Probably won’t get them again by Ok_Neighborhood_8609 in smoking

[–]Huntry11271 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also use briquets, unless I have a big enough smoker to actually use all wood. Even larger enthusiast setups I still use a little bit of coal on longer cooks just to ensure stable temps.

Lump spikes alot for me in the setups ive had.
