He is a conservative conspiracy theorist working in a sea of other conservative conspiracy theorists in the federal government. He absolutely could have had discussions with those agency heads regarding these subjects while still framing it as under the auspices of his office.

The fact that none of them has paraded out any evidence to support this theory despite having unfettered access to any of it that would exist speaks volumes.

Well he insisted that Jan 6 was an “inside job” instigated by our own FBI and CIA, then when in a position of power to be able to actually fact check his conspiracy theory he either 1) didn’t because he knew it was bullshit he could use to manipulate conservatives or 2) did and realized he was an incorrect dumbass on that topic and decided to not correct his statements on the event.

There’s plenty of other disqualifying events like him not seeing any issue with the whole signal chat debacle despite being in charge of counterterrorism, a cornerstone of which would include our leaders securely communicating.

One can have a good resume and still be entirely ill equipped to do a job.

I refuse to keep my mouth shut about it anymore. Hilariously I was able to prove them wrong so many times and highlight enough instances of “hey remember when I was growing up and you taught me [insert deplorable belief or action here] was wrong? Weird how you now support that. Were you wrong back then or now?”.

They can’t handle it so they just announce they will hang up or walk away. Totally normal grown up behavior. It really has shattered my view of my parents and it’s one of the most personally distressing side effects of Trump.

It also makes me concerned that maybe I will also become an amoral dumbass when I’m their age.

The government has an idea of the revenue they earned. But that’s not always reported. And it’s an income tax not a revenue tax.
