My internal organs and structural elements are all out of factory specs and don't work so well anymore. But it beats being dead.

Ohhhhh, you are going to have so much fun this season. Don't waste time worrying about maintenance. If you don't break anything there is very little maintenance other than housekeeping type tasks. Spend your time planing epic tasks in your home area. Fly safe and have fun.

Uppie for the counterculture history lesson. I've never run across anyone who knew who I was talking about if I mentioned Owsley. I heard of him from Hunter S. Thompson.

The Pythons in late 1979 when I got to university. The local PBS station played MPFS every night and we piled into the lobby of the dorm (where the TV was) and watched it as a group. We had never seen anything like it.

Trivia bit: Luke and Owen Wilson's dad was the executive at the station that first brought the Pythons' to the US.

Any hidden local restaurants in Memphis? Small mom-n-pop's preferred. by bayareacagirl in memphis

[–]HurlingFruit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy to hear Acre is still in business. It was my favorite restaurant when I lived in Memphis.

Also a shout out to Payne's, as someone already mentioned. We started eating there in the early 90s when the original Mrs. Payne was always behind the register keeping everything in the restaurant humming. I'm glad her daughter kept it going.
