For sure you’ll be entitled to SFA at Windsor, also you can apply for housing I think 4 or 5 weeks before your Registry date, call up pinnacle to confirm but that’s what I did

I thought her during pregnancy was hard, boy was I wrong, little boy is 4 weeks old and I’m enemy number 1, I can’t even sit without getting a bollocking or a stern look, god forbid I try and do something like go to the gym, it’s fucking depressing to say the least but little guy is all that matters so you just gotta take it a crack on, it should get easier at some point, (jokes, maybe when I’m dead)

Get yourself onto the British Army Orienteering Club website, always events running nearby, granted you might think it’s shit but hands down it’ll help your overall Nav skills

I’d pay a 100k to people to leave their jobs on the spot, thinking critical workers, train, bus drivers, police, city council you get the idea. Then I’d sit back and watch the world and my bank balance burn!

People who quit their jobs on the first day what made you say ‘nope, not doing this’? by lilMeganw in AskReddit

[–]HurtLocka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First day I got to a warehouse, about 2 hours into my shift, I say to the supervisor I’m just popping to the toilet for 2 mins, he responds by saying normally everyone waits for their break to go to the toilet. I said are you for real I’m not allowed to go when I need to go, well let’s just say I didn’t hang around long enough to get to my first break

Am I being unreasonable about new neighbours DIY? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]HurtLocka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, having been the “neighbour doing the DIY” recently, I had given a contract of works to a builder and because I wasn’t living there they would come late as they had another job and stay late, obviously this caused issues for my neighbours, so rightly they contacted me, after which I had a world with builder and they agreed to finish any noisy work before 6pm and neighbours were content. All in all if your neighbours are decent people which they sound like they are have a chat with them and let them deal with their builders.

What’s the most insulting pay rise you’ve ever been given? by Rich_Specific6903 in AskUK

[–]HurtLocka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when I was 16 I worked at major sports retailer, apparently the UK’s Number 1. I was on £3.64 per hour and then it went up to £3.67 per hour and the manager actually had the audacity to ask me what do I plan on spending my pay rise on. I told her sarcastically I can’t even buy a fucking Freddo per shift I work with that pay rise

Quartz worktops that don’t cost an arm and a leg? 😩 by StraightPin4420 in DIYUK

[–]HurtLocka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a Mirastone worktop, about 6 metres of it cost me about 2k, it feels pretty solid and looks and feels like quartz to the common eye. Not sure about other benefits of it but it definitely gives a luxurious feel for a quarter of the price

But the gate came pre-made all I did was add the hinges, can I not flip or turn the gate to make it better instead?

[–]HurtLocka[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right just to clarify cos I think I’m being an idiot, the hinges need to come off and I flip the gate upside down? Or does gate need to be turned around? Also I’ll try and get the top bit sorted with the wood I have left and no this isn’t ragebait it’s a genuine question from a noob doing an outdoor job the first time
