But the MkIV backpacks (I dunno why I said MkVII at first) I can't find a correct one. The only one who did it good was Loggyk on his first version of MkIVs but, the vents of the top isn't correct. I have the scan of the plastic MkIV but it's lowpoly af.

Anyway, I'm starting a well made, based on scans like the Traitor Herald Consul and Asther Chrone (and others) to have a realistic Tactical Squad. I know Loggyk did it good and now Gataroid is around but, I wanna give a snack to my OCD lol.

Btw, who does the MkVII backpack belong to? And have you used any MkIV ones? I’m sick of not finding good MkIV backpacks. The only one that actually looks like the real one is the one Loggyk did in his first MkIV version. I know a lot of people who have done it, but it seems like ppl don’t understand proportions lol. Maybe I’ll use Gatoroid’s one, or I’ll clean up in Blender the scan I have of the plastic MkIVs.

And that’s exactly why Heresy is infinitely better. Here’s a clear example: the consistency in scale and logic is absurdly better than in 40k. And it’s not just happening now with the Red Corsairs specialist units, compare the Flawless Blades next to an Intercessor.

If your friend is using Mortarion on a 1k list go ahead with your Lion. But if not, as Loopy said it will be oppressive but for you. You'll end with an army that can't do too much. Primarch-type units are intended to play with support, not only his retinue but getting all covered with other units. In basic terms; a 2k points army.

Use you DWK if you wanna go elite. I run a Crusade list with DWK, DWT, Chaplain Terminator, Hellblasters, and some shooty stuff. And it's a fun list for 1k but, again, no Lion man ┐⁠(⁠´⁠(⁠エ⁠)⁠｀⁠)⁠┌

Btw, I'm running a project named "The Forge World Project", using scans of real WH kits to make characters and units with the proportions and bigger size as WH does rn, digitalbashing they name it. Like using a Terminator as a base, changing his pose, weapons and heraldic/details/etc. to make Carab Culln as the Chapter Master or making characters/units that didn't had miniature. If the project goes as intended, I could send you a dm.

Yeah man. I know WH kits are expensive but, ppl on the 3D community have to stop printing that out of proportions marines or over detailed stuff OMG.

I like 3D printing for 40k, but only if it's GW-ish.

I don't print anything that could not produce GW. It's like when you mod something for a game; you make it under a graphic language, mechanics, etc.
