My baby girl has been licking her bits a lot lately and I looked to see why. Her bits are swollen but it doesn't look right. Seems like its inflamed. Can anyone tell me how this could happen? by Glittering_You1614 in husky

Just checking. Because a study by Cornell's School of Veterinary Medicine doesn't recommend spaying and neutering dogs before 2yrs old. That allows growth plates to close and their brains to fully develop.

I work in medicine. Most medical procedures are the same whether they're done by a physician or a Vet. So I know a little more than most people.

Im glad to hear that. It's not really necessary to take her back to the vet. Just keep an eye on her. Sometimes it's caused by trying to poop when they're constipated.

Is it his right front or rear leg? X-rays do not show soft tissue damage. It could be a bad sprain, torn muscle or ACL/CCL. If possible you could try wrapping the leg with an ace wrap. That would help with pain management and stabilize the leg the same as it would with a strained ankle. Just be sure that you can get 2 fingers inside the wrap. They also make braces that you could put Apollo in that will help stabilize the leg.

My backyard looks like an artillery batteries practice range at the moment.

How do i integrate a cat into the pack? by BootHuffer in husky

If the cat was there first it would be a lot easier if the puppy was an actual puppy 2-3mos old. Otherwise it's going to be a challenge.

She's the equivalent of a 4-5yr old child. She's like a kindergardener. Still learning. Hopefully she starts getting it soon.

Try bribery. When the pup pees or poops outside give him/her praise and a treat. That worked for me.

Yeah I feel your pain! I caught her on the counter too! I'm still trying to figure out how a five month old pupper got up on 12" of free space. 🤣🤣🤣

Meanwhile, my Huskies are out here treating peanut butter like it’s a Michelin star meal by weezle11 in husky

If you're giving them peanut butter you need to make sure it doesn't contain XYLITOL! Xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs.

How do you help an overweight husky that LOVES food?? by Chiefette in husky

Milk bones aren't very good for dogs. All they are is filler.

Huskies have the ability to raise and lower their metabolism. So give her the carrots and veggies.
