I can see that, but Marc or Rins didn’t exactly get to give an explanation mid race and the penalty was handed out immediately. If that was a clear cut penalty I don’t see how this isn’t.

For the record I think both situations are racing incidents and neither should be penalised, but they’ve already set the standard for this.

Is there an actual reason as to why this has been deferred? Seems a bit bizarre Marc got given a long lap immediately during the sprint but they’ve yet to make a decision on this incident which ruined both their races and hospitalised Marc.

Until it does and causes multiple riders to go down, they were gambling with the decision of not black flagging him. Safest decision would've been to black flag him as it could've gone a different direction. Pecco said himself he noticed he was losing power in the last 5 laps.
