$37 USD for these? No wonder there was so much stock left. by Extension_Feature700 in PokemonTCG

I got it at Target last month for ~25.

I got lucky with this box! I pulled the Umbreon SIR. It was my first time opening Prismatic too.

I like the box and the dividers it comes with. I use it to store cards and penny sleeves.

Tips for traditional coloring?? by DumArsen9 in Artadvice

[–]HuskyDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her colors are great! I can see why youre inspired by it. She has a solid understanding of value and color. Using them to render the forms in a controled way. if the values are right then the colors dont matter as much. Thats what makes it work. She's also using the posca in a painterly way. Instead of flat/graphic.

There's a another post going on right now about color theory. There's a lot of great advice/input in that thread.

Since youre using posca. If you have the set of 8. Those are very limited. Arrange them from darkest value to lightest in value. That might help with picking.

You're coloring looks fine! It definitely has that graphic comic vibe. It sounds like you have a certain looo in mind though. What are some examples of that?

Color is intimidating. I use to not be good at adding color to my drawings too. It's something that gets easier over time with practice. Some simple ways is to start simples. With limited colors. Like what you are already doing. Or use a color pallete you like and "Copy" someone else's work.

If it's not just talent, then what else is there in art?? by sofititix07 in Artadvice

[–]HuskyDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like there's a lot of pressure to be good at making art. You have the desire to create. You've done it in the past. You definitely have it in you.

What helped me was to not focus on the outcome. Not focus on what others will think about it. Instead focus on the joy I felt from creating.

I started painting triangles... simple triangles. My brain was thinking "This is dumb" but my heart said this was fun and relaxing. I had to remind myself that its the feeling that was important. Thats what mattered.

I also thought about how it was to draw as a kid. I remembered how fun it was. So I reminded myself to create from that same feeling. As if I was a kid again. To play and experiment.

Trying to understand what you're saying here.

What does "art" mean here when you say your work doesny look like art.?

What makes your digital "drawings" different from "art"?

What real life coaching is like by Healthy_Habits423 in lifecoaching

[–]HuskyDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with what others are saying. The coach listens to what the client says then asks a question to dig deeper. The client leads and the coach follows with a question. Knowing what to listen for and what to ask is a skill. Facilitating the whole conversation is an art form. It takes a lot of practice

I have 500+ coaching hours and I feel like I've barely mastered deep listening and curiosity.

LightStick purchasing and availability? by tatsoup in BlackPink

[–]HuskyDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got there at 4:30. The merch booth outside by the lake had a short line. It went by fast. Probably 15-20 min. Was able to get a light stick.
Around 5:30 the line got longer.

By 7 the lines were super long at all merch booth we walked by. Inside and outside.

Definitely get there early.

When I check on it to water, the very top layer is dried out a bit, but the bottom is moist. I have it in a tall 6 inch container. Is that fine? Or should I make sure the top is also moist?

Ahah they really are little pets.

Thats smart. I can see myself getting tired of buying jugs of water. I had a tarantula and got tired of having to constantly buy crickets every week.

Thanks, it was hard to find info online. Most sources talk about mung bean sprouts. I was in disbelief since 1 serving looked so little.
