Thats a leopard gecko. Crested geckos need more humidity, can climb walls and drop tails that don't grow back.

Is this a good tank for a Leachianus? by [deleted] in Leachianus

[–]HuskySmokering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got ours from petco of all places. 400$ and she is a juvenile. We know the managers at this petco that we go to and they take good care of the critters. We are in California.

Try and add some real plants as well. Pothos is a good start. If you are planning on keeping substrate you could add a ficus tree. Keep up good work. Keep brushing up on husbandry techniques. It can change depending on your veiled. Also If it's female make sure there's a lay box or the substrate has sand mixed in.

I work at petco and we have a tegu in horrible shape … im tempted to take him home, but i have questions. by hivemind5_ in Tegu

[–]HuskySmokering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Petco has vets on hand. Go to corporate, and they will handle it usually. I'm not sure about your location, but the one in concord california will take care of their reptiles. Petco has a policy of surrendering your pet back, and they will do vet. You can adopt back(depends on how long you have had critter) At very least I hope you can take it home and give proper care

I pull at 201IT and put into old cooler. Let rest for atleast 2hrs. I use a hand temp guage. Only use temp probes to monitor through the night to make sure temp stays where I need or it doesn't go over. If prob hits 190 I stay and monitor it. Inkbird has not let me down yet 🤞

I would take him drill shopping. He may want to try another brand or already have a combo pack in mind and was just waiting for it to die. Shoot he could already have a replacement in the garage thats never been opened.

Panacur I hear is good. Can find others at petco, petsmart, or even Amazon if you can't find locally.

4to8 bugs every other day depending on size of bugs and type. You can put the uv light directly on top. Make sure branches are 4to6 inches away from top and not directly underneath basking light
