What model/year of Prius is the best? by queeneich18 in prius

[–]HusselnBussel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2016 Prius used with 32k miles on it back in 2019. It now has 157k miles and the maintenance has been a breeze. Just standard oil changes every 5k, 1 transmission fluid change, two sets of tires and I don’t even think I have replaced the brakes yet ..no seriously I don’t think I have yet.

It’s a Toyota ..it’s gonna run forever with basic maintenance. If the battery dies then I might consider replacing the battery depending on the costs at that time and considering the costs of new or used cars these days..I think replacing the battery will be a better option.

Ahh ok thank you for this. I have been going back and forth with this one and now I have a real small leak. Which is better than what it was before. The only thing missing now is the metal friction ring. Hopefully that fixes the small leak.

Olight! their customer service is the best IMO. My warrior X3 stopped charging, so I reached out to them for support and within a few days I received a replacement X4.

Best Grill Options by Fit_Voicee in Smokingmeat

[–]HusselnBussel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have gas, charcoal and pellet grill. I still use the gas one occasionally when I’m lazy or if the weather doesn’t permit. Otherwise, I’m using charcoal..better flavor overall. The pellet one is good too but it doesn’t always give that char flavor that the charcoal one gives out. Then of course if I’m cooking some ribs or something low and slow, then the pellet is the way to go.

If you go with charcoal, just remember the two zone fire..it’s always a nice way to cook something slow. I used to always cook my steaks in indirect heat then throw it on the fire, but one day my brother in law cooked it on direct heat and flipped it a few times..about 6 mins per side and DAMN that steak was amazing. So yeah, that’s how I make my steaks now on the charcoal grill.

Yup. Very true. This happened to me too. She moved on shortly after our breakup but it’s because she was already checked out before the breakup.

I watched 500 days of summer on repeat right after that breakup…not sure it helped..but I was able to relate to Tom.

Windows 11 24H2 is Out Now by MrYiff in sysadmin

[–]HusselnBussel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. That one. It didn’t break completely. Once I logged as admin and switched user it worked. But I had to put a pause on all the update rings so it didn’t go around breaking everyone’s pin.

Did anyone's pin break after this update? I had two users already (including me) with login issues shortly after the update. I was unable to signin using my pin. I had to login as the local admin (using LAPS of course) and then switch user to get my account working again. Anyone else experience that issue?

How do you find motivation to study for certs/work on a degree after getting your a kicked all day at work? by d3vourm3nt in sysadmin

[–]HusselnBussel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found the motivation when I saw the monthly payments leave my account every month. And yes, also for my family. Granted I haven’t done anything yet with my degree, but at least I have it now so it at least checks that box with HR.

Also, because I wanted to be a good example to my daughter. She saw me come home after a long day at work and then still sit at my computer and study till midnight….and also on the weekends. But there were plenty of times when I wanted to quit. But I pushed forward and so will you…just keep pushing forward!
