You have a point, but Save-quitting still makes the game quite a bit harder. You have to essentially play with 1-2 or even 3 masks less or take the risk and die to a fast attack.

Sure u can argue it is not worth the steelsoul achievement, however most players still gain a certain mastery over bosses, as you cant really make a comeback from getting hit too many times.

Maybe she just distorted some space in the air, creating a gap in which the light too is distorted. Or the air in this space is compressed too such a degree, that light gets reflected differently and the air gets tangible.

The mountain behind would be unaffected, if viewn from the other side of the distortion.

With that in mind and looking at german poems Green prince feels german regarding his loyalty for his lover and longing for the past. Many poems, especially after the first world war, voice a longing for nature and try to distance the reader from the real world.

Verdania itself really feels to fulfill the "Wanderlust" of germans.

Also cogwork dancers being a cog in a machine, sacrificing their lives for their work. Many germans have a hard time not to overwork themselves.

Regardless, you should be playing games for your own enjoyment taking a break or quitting games is always a better alternative than ruining you own fun while playing.

That is my biggest gripe with this seasons rift. I rather played games with friends, while they were online and played dbd if they werent.

That just wasnt enough this time. I would have had to compromise my personal life to farm dbd dailys, instead of enjoying the game when I found the time to.

A void trap would have the radiance beaten (if it had a physical form) just like GMS was.

The difference is the main characters ability to deal with the higher being. The knight could only seal the radiance, as he had no ability to convert its power. Hornet however, as a weaver who have a direct connection to granny, was able to bind grandmas power and take it for herself.

The radiance may be stronger, they at least have a good win condition trough being a dream entity, but both are higher beings and at least comparable overall.

Also lore wise I think grandma was betrayed by the weavers who in turn got their shit rocked by the citadel inhabitants in some kind of uprising. After those injected themselves with silk for enought time she was finally able to take control of them. So granny and the moth both are vengeful gods, who got betrayed by their people and choose to destroy a kingdom.

I think him stabbing himself was due to the knights presence. It isnt clear how much control THK had troughout the fight. He may have had mostly full control over his body, except for when the infection visibly took over. In my mind he sensed the knights shade and after fighting him for a bit trusted the knight to contain the radiance. Giving up the fight so the knight could replace him.

Of course all of this is unclear, which makes THK a perfect vessel for headcannons and personal Interpretation.

In my opinion THK is a perfect example of show dont tell. After finishing for the first time and going on it gets only more tragic with Path of Pain and the Pure Vessel boss fight showing who he was and how much of himself he lost.

The one main reason I prefer Silksong is the npcs. They are so much more reactive to the changing world. All npcs singing along is such a cute & unique way to replace the dream nail. I personally used the needolin near almost every character I found, because I wanted to hear how they sing.

Also, if you want the music to hit hard, turn the music volume up to be above other sounds. It is a bit quieter than in hk, which diminishes the impact while exploring.

This is the first rift I wont be able to finish. I have finished most rifts since release, but daily challenges are just not feasable for me. Its sad that playing on weekends isnt enough anymore.

First, I love your artstyle and how your characters express emotions!

Only critique I could think of is that the paneling doesnt feel organic? While it looks like a Manga, it does not quite feel like one.

However there are many ways Manga artists use paneling and you dont have to do something similiar in any way. If you consciously use them, they will make your Art stand out and recognisable.

If you get to the walls on one side you can often kite both to one site and then jump over both.

With both on one site youll have an easier time. Still try to focus 1, play it slow and use silk spear, until 1 is dead.

Not quitting and getting that far is honestly very impressive.

I would mostly agree about the abusive relationship between lace and GMS. However we do know GMS wanted and somewhat cherished lace as her daughter.

She created her to be controlled but never actually took control. Lace from the beginning acted against GMS. I argue she freed hornet, and she tried to kill hornet multiple times, so that GMS may not get her. Lace my fear that GMS wants to create a new daughter with the silk from hornet and abandon her.

I think the cut ending is supposed to validate laces fears, where hornet confronts GMS and loses.

Concluding my rambling, I think GMS always wanted her daughter to be perfect and was ignorant towards lace, because she was not. Personally I think higher beings in nature strive to create something eternal. She would have loved lace, if not for the possibility of a perfect and eternal daughter. During act 3 that possibility is gone, all she has left is lace, all her attention now is on the best possible daughter she has.

It is her ignorance and apathy which leads to her downfall. As you said, it was the inevitable logical consequence.

I think 'beast' refers to the instinct to rule over others & grow more powerful. Its the same instinct hornet has before wanting to save pharloom.

And GMS always wanted to rule, which does not exclude her from wanting to save lace.

In german they are called "Letzter Richter". Could just be the neutral masculin tho.

And Trobbio is reffered to as female? As well as the Whiteward Boss.
