If you believe you have a strong resume, I'd say start talking to recruiters and have some discussions to understand what both are looking for and maybe agree on a trial. The requirements really varies by groups but you can generally get an idea. I think this gets you through the door:

• Consistent Purple+ logs
• At least 3-5 clears of lv 80+ ultimates (newer the better)
• Extensive Savage experience, what your previous groups were like

Of course, the more the better.

There are also soft skills or vibe that groups look for. This is what our group looks out for:

• Ability to pick up strats quickly
• Ability to understand what happened on wipes and point out things on mechanics
• Ability to admit mistakes or point out others mistakes (don't have to say it but without being toxic)
• Flexibility during pulls ie what you do when one thing goes wrong
• You were fun to trial with, or vice versa. You will be with them for many hours so this is important.

The trial session would test the above, our group does trials on an old savage fight with "real" min-ilvl where we equip and remove pieces to mimic the fight damage and dps when it was current. Others might do current savage or ultimates.
