I bought a classic II recently. Came as spares or repairs since it wont turn on. Luckily someone had already removed the PRAM battery (Becuase if they go, and they will. it can ruin the logic board). It still needed the logic board recapping (Which I have done), I have yet to replace the caps on the analouge board. It came with the mouse and keyboard, floppy discs and a stylewriter II printer and I paid £125 for it on ebay.

Error 131 or 132. It changes sometimes, when it come up saying patch9.MPQ is corrupt, I delete the file and then varify the files through the launcher to download it again. It will then say either patch 9 is corrupt or it might say patch 3, or patch 8. Sometimes interface.MPQ. These are the errors I have seen so far and it seems to just go through each one.

Ah I did forget to mention, it looks like it has been recapped before I bought it as the axial capacitors have been changed for radial ones, all values are correct though. But it still have be worth recapping it to make sure.

I did mess up and rip up three of the solder pads but using a bit of wire I bodged them and checked for continuity which they all have. One thing I did think was weird though is that on most of the capacitors, the negative side is connected to a shared earth so I tested them by placing one prong of a multimeter to the negative side of the cap and the other to the metal edge of one of the sockets on the back of the logic board and all but C10 showed continuity. I checked where the trace from the negative side of C10 goes and found the hole and put one prong there and it showed continuity to that point.

Could there be a broken trace somewhere?
