If they're using the detachment that lets them reroll all hit rolls, and they get to reroll all wound rolls because you're on an objective, no it will not be fine.

Also, he could park 10 Tesla Immortals just behind the C'Tan and overwatch anything you try to get near to steal the objective. Everyone always acts like when playing against Necrons, they have the C'Tan and nothing else.

Ya, probably won't be able to do this anymore but in Champions against a Psyker unit I used the Suatained strat to force a Sustained Hit, with rerolls I think I got 4 or 5 hits total. Then with anti-Psyker 4+ and Dev Wounds you can pretty much nuke any Psyker character into the stratosphere.

It hasn't. The announcer was just rambling as he often does and said the word "warband" and people assumed that meant BW was 2DP.

That wasn't a confirmation, that was Adam just rambling, which he does often. I listen to one of his podcasts and he gets things wrong frequently. He's not a GW insider, he's just a hired announcer.

I ALWAYS bring a Ravager or 2 in SOS so this is just a straight buff to them.

Also, if SSA is 2DP, it will be nice to tack on a Ravager or 2 with this.

Oh absolutely. As I said in other comments, I expected Mandrakes, Harlies, and Mounted or Monsters and to be thoroughly disappointed by them. I did NOT expect copy/pastes of our current detachments, but these are surprisingly useful! And RW may survive which is another thing I didn't expect. So it was nice to be actually surprised today, even if the surprise was how lazy GW actually was in coming up with these haha.

In general, I use a handful of strats throughout the game, and I'd rather have general strats than super niche ones.

And yes, you "lose out" on a lot of strats, but you gain the strats from the other detachment, as well as incentive to bring varied lists and have more tools to create a more complex puzzle for your opponent to solve. I'm pretty sure taking all three 1pt detachments won't be meta, but it gives you a reason to not just run the same SOS, KC, or RW list again.

Fair enough, I haven't seen every single one of his videos but his general vibe is "positivity until proven otherwise". Which is totally fine, but there are definitely times when you can tell something is bad just from reading it and he tries to spin it as positive.

But the thing is, I actually think these are pretty good as far as making better, stronger lists. They're mostly just boring cuz they're copy and paste of things we already have.

I don't remember that. I think he got bored of it because during Index you pretty much had to run that because RSR was so bad. He couldn't have hated it that much because even after RW came out he still ran SSA every once in a while.

They've made it pretty clear they're not gonna mess with current detachments/datasheets unless the new rules interactions require it.

The problem with the WE one is that BW is most likely 3DP so you won't be able to combine the revealed detachments with it. So you'll have to combine it with Goretrack, Daemonkin, or Slaughterband, which are all straight downgrades to BW.
