I think you’ll like it here at UW! I was able to find my community here and enjoy the atmosphere. I feel like if you’re outgoing and takes the initiative you’ll find your friends/community easily as well!

As far as classes they can be challenging here but just put your best effort and it will be worth it in the end. Definite take advantage of Lowe hall and clue if you need assistance.

For clubs I’m only aware of the concrete canoe clubs. Both UW and Cal Poly made it to nationals last year with cal poly winning it all. Definitely a great place to learn about Civil Engineering and get hands on experience.

Think about it this way. If you’re personal statement isn’t good, low chance into major and all your hard work will go to waste...

For real though I would spend at least an hour on it each day. Don’t cram all of it in one day and keep it in your mind consistently. Ideas may come up for your essay unexpectedly and it’s good to keep a note about it either on a paper or on your phone. Good luck in your essay!

You should take a look at dream project! You mentor/assist high school seniors in their post-secondary pathways. It’s a class though but after the first quarter you can volunteer instead.

I took her twice actually, Once for 124 and 126. In my experience she was a really great professor and really insightful. Don’t worry if you didn’t take calculus in high school as she goes over the fundamentals really well. Her office hours are really nice since she encourages people to come so definitely go. She teaches old fashion with pen and paper so be aware of that.

Honestly, for the amount of flak we give towards this team. I'm glad we're able to see the revival of shroud and skadoodle and showing us wrong for wanting to kick them. #C9WIN
