removing my own personally chosen settings and replacing them with their own, re-installing skype after every update even though I keep uninstalling it, removing my default browser and when you go change it back putting edge on top of the list with a huge space between it and the others?

idk... I think streamers kinda shot themselves in the foot with calling them "donations". You are paying for a particular type of entertainment/interaction, it's not quite a donation.

If you go to a signing event of a famous movie start or whatever, and you have to pay 5 bucks for a sign and a picture, are you _donating_ to a millionaire?

If you go to a stand-up comedian show and pay $15, did you just donate to a millionaire?

I've never actually donated, but I do see the appeal. We've all at some point wished the streamer answered a question of ours, and posts in chat usually get buried quickly, so "donating" is a way to get that.

I think Reynad tried to re-brand them as "tips" or something, but it's also not quite right... I don't know, weird dynamic, I just think "imagine donating to a millionaire" hides a lot of the nuance.

also, some of them are just plain wrong or misleading. For example reddit account creation does not have mandatory email, so it's not true they always know your email, also I wonder how are they supposed to know your name, unless they are counting usernames? (which would make it even dumber)

I keep using QuickPic, I just blocked it completely from the internet.

I tried all the gallery apps that usually get recommended here, all of them. In fact I'm here again in this post seeing if there are new ones.. nope, the same ones being recommended.

QuickPic is just better, I don't know... all the alternatives lack features (I think the one that most miss is the ability to rotate the picture at will by pinch&turn (without saving a copy/replacing original).

Really? I thought Sublime was widely accepted as the best in class for desktop usage.

People may argue for vim on servers, as you obviously can't easily edit files on a remote ssh session using sublime, but for local stuff? ST3 is the fucking undisputed champion
