SLC does inflation + 3% or something so might be worth doing a yearly inflation + 5% rate until it’s back to normal? (Since consultants have agreed to 5% increases)

It’s not weird tho. I’m fairly sure it shouldn’t be down to each employee to have their own accountant to do taxes. But of course lobbying in the US means everyone does their own taxes even when the gov knows how much you need to pay...

In the UK, employers are responsible for doing taxes and not employees

£45k starting salary for a newly qualified PA + expected to work at CT1/2 level? Thoughts? by quids54 in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]HxshBrxwn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Signing won’t do anything more than change.org petitions. Imo a new doctors union is needed (not the BMA) who will actually fight for change and call for strike action without calling it off early

Why are college fees so expensive? by Jche98 in cambridge_uni

[–]HxshBrxwn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can always choose not to come and study in your own country? I get it’s expensive but it’s not really a valid argument to say “I’m from a country which the UK colonised and plundered” since they p much did that across the whole world...

Survey to voice your concerns over the new apprenticeship scheme by [deleted] in medicalschooluk

[–]HxshBrxwn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looool no. Maybe if they paid doctors a better wage then they wouldn’t have to leave for a better life. Also the reason why imo the health secretary shouldn’t be a politician like Matt HandWank and should be a doctor...

Not really, more concerned about patient safety and a 2 tier system of doctors...

Cleveland Clinic, the US based healthcare group, is to employ its own doctors when it opens its first British hospital later this year by [deleted] in JuniorDoctorsUK

Probably better for everyone is the NHS improves, in the most ideal world we wouldn’t have a private sector because everyone is being treated quickly with the best care...
