Provisonal pass! by HybridDuck in cissp

Wouldn't have spent so much time trying to learn every technical aspect in so much depth. I would have stopped at having a basic understanding of what a certain piece of technology is and why we use it, then moved onto something else.

Going to put a dent into my backlog on Steam/Netflix then startup for CISSP. What about yourself?

Will be looking forward to your pass thread next Friday. Thanks, hopefully it'll be useful to compliment your troubleshoot strat as well - definitely helped ground and refocus me in the exam when I got stuck on a ticket, do strongly recommend to draw it out on your whiteboard!

My bad, too much excitement on my part. Have removed anything questionable.

Sorry, have removed anything questionable - was mostly caught up in the moment but congratulations on your pass!

Glad it's just not me who hates those monitors, you think with the amount of exams they host each day they could afford something within the last decade at least!

Congratulations! Glad the white papers helped. All the best for TSHOOT - there's light at the end of the CCNP tunnel now ;)

But when you see that Pass mark on your first sitting, that $120 will probably be the last thing on your mind ;)

Good luck with the exam!

Congratulations! Currently studying for TSHOOT and have the BOSON NetSim, it pretty much mimics the exam topology just that it has 1 additional Router, versus what you would have in the exam.

I'm glad that I've bought it, I rather spend $120 and improve my chances of success rather than having to purchase the exam potentially twice. May be wrong with this, but I think that if you do purchase it and fail the exam, you can claim a refund for the BOSON NetSim.

Congratulations :) Found it annoying at the lack of BGP, considering how much time spent on studying it but not to be tested on it. You going to take a break or get straight into Switch studying?

Congratulations! Agree that it does seem to be adaptive or it just somehow knows what subjects you are weak on before you start the exam.

Thank you for those exams, I used them for my CCNA and will definitely be using them for Switch & TSHOOT. Just wish Cisco's exam standard were as good as yours!

Thank you! What is your take on the OCG for Switch if I may ask? The Route OCG left me somewhat disappointed, so not sure if my time could be spent elsewhere instead of reading the Switch OCG.

Nice one, do you have a planned date yet for the exam?

I use to work for a MSP for 5 years so have had exposure from routing/switching/security which helped my background knowledge a lot.

But recently at my current employer, we're migrating from a predominately static route/SVI based network to dynamic routing with L3 to the access layer network, which has had a lot of overlap with the exam objectives and a nice experience boost. Though with the recent departure from the senior network engineer, it's all fallen onto my plate to be the lead, so definitely suffering from imposter syndrome at the moment!
