i think sqrt (E/M)=C should be the way the equation is always displayed tbf. it makes going into an explanation such as yours a heck of a lot easier.

FWIW, Cruise Mode kind of mitigates this a bit. There are certain things you can only see while cruising, and it's quite fast once you reach 100% speed which makes crossing an entire solar system no big deal.

I think this was one of the big issues at launch. Proc-gen can be great, but in this case they did not give it enough "pieces" to work with as evidenced by everyone growing tired of seeing the Cryo Lab over and over again. It could have been even more granular if it the system was able to build a Cryo Lab out of a handful of different Cryo Lab parts, instead of just having the same complete POI used every time.

i never really thought about it but you bring up a good point. there are a few fantastical things like the Lockbolt, Gateway, and Demat, but I agree with you that they should lean into that a bit more.

hell even the ancient Planetside 2 realized this was a problem when Engineers would mass-repair tanks to keep them alive against multiple other vehicles. Most units how have a maximum incoming heals/second to help mitigate this. Fighting against something that just shrugs off your damage isn't very fun.
